So this place is over the top amazing. The staff and owners are genuinely nice and helpful. The room we had was the best we’d ever been in with every detail considered. We absolutely loved our stay here and will be back.
The food was remarkably good too. From the cookies in the room to the morning breakfast to an amazing Thanksgiving dinner we were blown away by all of it.
Outstanding.

Super
Simply superb. Five star ratings in three languages don't lie, and this place is magnificent. Simply put, I don't know that I've EVER been treated so kindly by any service industry, anywhere. For reference I'm 31 and have been to about 30 countries. I say that not to brag or anything, just to emphasize that I've traveled all over and seen the full range of this lodging thing. I don't normally even leave ratings. Most hotels are just that- places to lay your head and avoid buying the hotel food. Let Calife is different, and really is something special and unique.
The rooms are palatial and show astonishing attention to detail. Some examples: the hand soap next to the sink is this posh little handmade cake scented with rosemary and mint (maybe eucalyptus?). Hand soap! There are books all over the place, many of which appear antique and they're all actual books. Go ahead, read one it won't hurt you. The owners arranged a pickup from the train station and the guy had a signboard for us like we were somebodies. This alone is nice as it keeps you from running the gauntlet of pushy faux guides who offer their services outside the station- whether you've shown interest or not. A word here- it's not that the owners Alex and Yasmine shun employing locals, but their focus is on a fantastic customer experience, complemented by the Best the local workforce has to offer. The place only has seven rooms and already I've seen that many employees, all of whom are lovely.
To stay at le Calife is to be pulled into the owner Alex's world. He told me his first trip to Fes was like walking into Arabian Nights. I can't agree more, and le Calife is absolutely an oasis of relentlessly charming luxury fit for a Sherifian Emir, or better yet, a Marinid King. If you're somehow still reading you're gonna end up staying here, and thanking me.
This is a fabulous place! Wonderful service, helpful owners, beautiful accommodations and delicious food. When I return to Fez I will stay here‼️
