Si je pouvais seulement comprendre pourquoi cet endroit a reçu 1 ou 2 étoiles parfois et sans explication en plus. Cet endroit mérite 10 étoiles si c'était seulement possible. De ma vie, je n'ai jamais vu un endroit pareil destiné au public. C'est un palais privé partagé avec nous et nous avons la chance d'être à cet endroit et de profiter d'une hospitalité exceptionnelle et d'un cadre non moins exceptionnel. Concept excellentissime, les propriétaires n'ont pas lésiné sur les moyens, le service est en or, la suite est un écrin digne d'un roi. Fès dispose d'un hôtel à la hauteur de sa réputation de destination pépite et ce riad est une pépite ! N'hésitez pas une seule seconde, réservez les yeux fermés et cela vaut bien un petit sacrifice financier, après tout on ne vit qu'une fois et l'expérience est une réussite.

Best hotel in Fez! We considered also the Riad Fes (Relais & Chateaux). The service is excellent, the breakfasts are divine, the grounds are spectacular, with access to the study and the library which are lovely sanctuaries. And the rooms are delightful. The architect and owner's wife spared no expense and invested in fixtures and decorations that made the Riad a palace more than a hotel. The private SUV with WiFi that they provided for excursions was an extension of the elegance and service at this fine hotel. Staying at Riad Karawan made our visit to Fez memorable!

Nous n'avons pas testé les chambres, mais le hamman, les soins et massages valent vraiment le détour. Décor raffiné, pour se reposer, prendre un thé, se raffraichir. Vue magnifique sur la médina depuis le toit terrasse. A découvrir.

Morocco is known for its attention to detail in culinary arts, as gastronomy is a traditional part of the culture. In Fez, fine dining can be found at Karawan Restaurant, an authentic Moroccan restaurant located in the Karawan Riad. Chef Outhmane prepares a variety of gourmet food for the discerning diner, elegantly combining Moroccan and Mediterranean flavors.

I had the pleasure of dining at Karawan one evening for dinner, and I was pleased with the level of service, the quality and freshness of the food, and the elegance of the restaurant’s setting. The wait staff was very attentive, and each course was promptly delivered to my table. The atmosphere was relaxed yet inviting, with modern details that enhance the aura of luxury.

I started with amuse bouche of escargot. It was light and buttery, a delicious texture and perfectly cooked. Next I tried a tart of chicken, aubergine and cheese, which was baked until lightly crisped and the chicken browned. The combination of the ripe aubergine with the chicken gave the dish a hearty complexity that was satisfying and comforting.

For my main dish, I had fresh trout, with broccoli, red pepper and seasoned mashed potatoes. The fish was excellent, and the produce fresh. The mashed potatoes were creamy and fluffy and had the right amount of seasoning.

For dessert, I enjoyed lemon cream with a freshly made raspberry sauce. Not too sweet but just a beautiful blend of tart and subtle sweetness. A delicious way to end a wonderful meal.

Everything about the Karawan Restaurant is highly recommended. Whether you’re staying at the riad, or just looking for an upscale yet relaxing dining experience, Karawan is the way to go. The restaurant incorporates the finest parts of Moroccan cuisine, and blends with the rich culture of the world’s oldest medina in Fez.

La plus belle découverte de l'année qui vaut vraiment que je laisse un avis ! Je pense que tous les gens qui vont à cet endroit sont de la même trempe que les propriétaires. Et qu'en fait ces personnes ne perdent pas de temps sur les réseaux sociaux. Ils lisent dans leur bibliothèque gigantesque, ils réfléchissent et ils vivent en profitant du meilleur que la vie offre et en le partageant avec nous ! Mon magnifique passage là-bas a été une expérience incroyable et inoubliable ! J'adore !

Je ne suis pas une adepte de donner mon avis sur internet. Mais une fois n'est pas coutume. Et Karawan Riad vaut cette exception tant par le fait que je n'ai JAMAIS vu un endroit comme celui-ci que par la gentillesse de coeur de ses propriétaires et de son personnel. Ma chambre est irrésistible, le restaurant est un délice et je passe un moment exceptionnel. Jamais je n'oublierai mon passage ici à Fès par Karawan Riad. Et jamais plus, je ne retrouverai un endroit comme celui-ci.
