This Riad is horrific. Arrived and told room wasn't ready. We waited, and waited, and waited. The owner was too busy bitching about other guests to me! The rooms are filthy, bathrooms are worse. I can't comment on the breakfast because I was so keen to leave that I didn't stay for it!

Definitely a bad hotel. We booked this Riad in advance. However, when we arrived there, they told us that the Riad is full and took us to another place where is a dirty room. They told us that that is the only available room and we need to pay the same price as that of the room we saw on the internet. It's ridiculous. We refused and had to find another hotel. That is quite a bad experience.

Chaos, disrespect for the guests, difficult contact with the owner and manager, noise + absurd practice of not-providing guests with the key to the entrance door - consequently, repeated ringing, knocking, hitting ant banging to the door by more and more frustrated guests, who weren't able to get inside the riad, also in the middle of the night. Because no member of the staff was present at the building. We opened the door to the other guests and were left in by the other guests (who informed us, that they were having party with the owner and the manager at the terasse). As a consequence we slept that night about 4 hours.
The building itself is neglected, maintained at a minimum of financial outlay. Ground floor rooms = zero chance for a peaceful sleep and elementary privacy. I would definitely not recommend it. It was the Worst accommodation in Morocco (including night in the desert and in the mountain lodge).
We left the riad after one night and were not able to get our money back (including money for the next night and the cab to the airport, which is 30 euro). Because manager vanished into thin air after confronting with us, owner was constantly unavailable and the only physically present person, which is lady who takes care of the food and cleaning, speaks only maroccan and had no intention of contancing her supervisors.

This place could be nice.but the guys working looked not interested, didn't know from our booking, discusses the fixed price, room not clean, one looked drugged, smoked themselves inside even there was a sign for not to smoke.shall I continue

Absolutely love this beautiful piece of Medina history in Fez. My husband is from Fez and this place is next to his family home. Large rooms, very spacious, clean linen every day, hot tea in the roof overlooking Medina and old Fez. The staff here is always friendly, kind and accommodating as they are family. I do recommend this wonderful place to anyone coming for a visit. Al hamdullilah 😊

A lot of pressure to take a guided tour. Trays of dirty glasses still on tables a day after we'd used them. Bathroom not cleaned on arrival because "the woman was off". Very loud music and male staff shouting angrily at each other all day, and they turned aggressive when we asked them to stop. Felt unsafe as the only guests, so we left early.

The looks of the place are amazing, if you want to be inside of the Medina the location could not be any better, since its inside of the Medina, but not too deep inside to get lost while going back. Room we had was very beatiful, bathroom was nice, water was always hot. Breakfasts were delicious. But there are major downsides as well. The young men who ran the hotel got rather agressive towards us when we didnt book a tour with them. They offered us some tours for double the price compared to what we have been ofered elsewhere. We declined, went with another person to do the same tour and when we returned in the evening the staff made sure to make us feel very uncomfortable by interogating us why we didnt go with them and went with someone else. This situation repeated since we went on more tours. The staff went as far as giving us light threats about dangerousnes of going with other people than them. The situations were awkward and uncomfortable and we would not go back because of this. Other downsides were WiFi that was never working properly. I needed to do simple fifteen minute task online everyday and it proved to be impossible to manage on certain days while trying for two hours straight. If you are not depending on the Internet it is OK, if you need it, act as if there was no Internet there. Also our room didnt have a proper key, there was just a squared hole in the keyhole and we were given a motorcycle looking key to open the door, but they could be opened with a screw driver or anything else really.
