Lovely place. Had a good time. Only issue was not always bar staff by the pool so could wait over an hour to get a coke.

Would we visit again? Yes but only for a few days.

Upon arrival we were greeted very nicely by the reception staff (who can speak broken but understandable English), we checked in (be aware that hotels also charge hotel tax) and made our way to our designated bedrooms.

Room - First impressions of the room - good! But we weren't provided with any towels and we had to ask a few times before finally receiving them. If your plan is not to stay in the hotel but to adventure, then the room is suitable for you to sleep in, however if you plan on relaxing, the only place worthy, is the roof. The room itself does not include a mini fridge (as four star hotels should) even though it is mentioned in the descriptions of many booking sites. The bedroom furniture is worn out but the TV has two or maybe three channels that view English/American movies/news, which makes sitting in the room bearable. Bring your own travel iron as they do not provide you with one.

Food - Our holiday package included breakfast and dinner. However, we were not very happy with breakfast at all! Considering it was a four star hotel the breakfast was very limited (including tea, cereals, pastries, boiled eggs and salad) and when we requested for english breakfast (scarmbled egg in particular), they charged extra. Not all is bad, dinner was okay, edible and some days excelllent, especially the deserts. Drinks are not provided with meals other than during breakfast but even then it is only orange juice. You are forbidden from buying drinks from shops and can only purchase from the bar, we still used to sneak drinks in because the prices compared to the shops were ridiculous! 5x more than the actual price of the drink.

The rooftop swimming pool - Loved it! Especially on a real sunny day. There is always a life guard present, who is very warming and good to talk to. We got on very well with him. The view from the rooftop is stunning, especially on a sunny day.

Spa - The hammam was good but the massage was adequate. The massage lasted for maybe 15-20 mins but they then left us in the room to "relax" for half n hour (or atleast it felt this long). I wouldn't pay 450dhs for that again. My partner and I wanted to use the hot tub however, other than the awful weather, the hot tub itself wasn't the cleanest tub I've seen.

They just might want to reconsider their 4 star status.

This is a 2 star hotel with a fancy name. Stay away. The lobby smells of smoke from bar. There was no heating in the rooms. The showers were dirty. If you’re looking for a cheap stay with comfortable mattress, the go ahead and book. Otherwise, stay away.

This hotel is good for a short stay but it has many flaws.

- For the first half of my stay, the pool wasn’t open at all which was very disappointing ((but was eventually opened and it was nice.))

- Dinner in the restaurant was alright, but not amazing ((but breakfast was great.))

- You aren’t allowed to bring in food or drink from outside the hotel ((but only if it is served at the hotel.))

- The towels are a bit dirty ((but the rest of the bathroom has no faults.))

- Receptionist was a bit rude ((but the job did get done.))

- WiFi isn’t that great ((but works.))

So overall, a 4 star rating is generous as despite having some flaws {stated above} , there are many good things as well {mentioned in double brackets}.

In all honesty, if you’re a tourist looking to explore Marrakech, come here as it is a short cab ride (15-20 min) from the Old City and the International airport.

Be prepared for the city as there are a lot of street dealers who’ll ask you to buy things for an INSANE price - to solve this, ask for it at half price or less and they’ll eventually give in. Also, there are many beggars on the streets so you will likely encounter quite a few.

Restaurants are nice, especially the chicken skewers and chicken couscous - there is also a McDonalds and a KFC if you crave that. Maybe don’t sit outside as you will be approached by beggars, but if you stay inside, it’s good.

If the hotel management read this, your hotel is good but I’d prefer if you improved your hotel with the facts listed way above.

I would rate this hotel as 2 star
Our experience at Imperial Plaza was atrocious and I could say that it was one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in despite the fact that it was said to be a 4 star hotel which wasnt up to its high standards. The room itself was unhygienic and unpleasant to stay in. One of the most disturbing fact was that the hotels complimentary products were used not to mention that the towels were extremely old and grey. On top of that, the toilet papers had already been used with water finger prints on which definitely shouldn't be the case for a so called "4 star hotel". Furthermore, the room service was appalling and we didn't recieve the help that we needed In order to make it a pleasant stay. The hotel does not live up to its 4star. Throughout our time we did everything possible to stay out late so we would spend less time within the hotel. The staff were lovely although they couldn't help with any of our query . Most of the service you have to pay for. There was no iron in the hotel so we had to pay for the service each time. The hotel is mainly used by the local people for a budget vacation.

I've just got back from Marrakesh and I would say the hotel is good for a short stay and from what I saw family friendly. Facilities are good for the price I paid. The building is definitely a bit worn in places and could do with some work but the room I got was nice enough and cleaned daily by housekeeping. If the room had a kettle and a small fridge I wouldn't fault the room I had at all.The hotels location is the best selling point as it's a 15-20 minute cab or bus ride to the square and old city. Me and my partner found the younger staff more friendly and helpful than the older staff working there. One older bloke in particular was very offish when asked anything during my week there and he kept pretending he couldn't understand when we knew he could. If If had to give imperial plaza a rating out of 10 I would give it a 7 for my stay. PS.
Anyone traveling to Morocco just be aware you will be charged double or triple the actual cost of most things so ALWAYS negotiate the price. offer half or less of what their asking for especially when taking taxis and buying anything in the market. Also take small change with you when going out. After you're first day in the city you will know why you need it. The people in the old city market can be very pushy so be a bit street wise when going in there.

Worst experience I have ever had. I saw pictures of the hotel online and none of them matched the rooms in this hotel. Everything was gross and broken. There were hairs in the sink, the toilet was used, the towels ripped and also the blankets were ripped and dirty with stains. The blowdryer gave off electricity shocks. The staff was incredibly rude to us. I promise you that I have never had this kind of experience in my life with a hotel. They did not even seek any solutions for the problems. They took our money and put us on a no show.

Stayed several nights.. Good location, decent rooms for the price.. Good food, swimming pool on 6th floor.. I recommend this place!
Only bad experience was at reception when checking in.. Lady was rude and loud. With all guests, the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful.

Chambre grande, télévision de mauvaise qualité, salle de bain propre mais la baignoire est étroite, personnel accueillant, balcons trop petits. Hôtel assez bien, mais ne correspond pas à la catégorie 4 étoiles.
