Large rooms, excellent staff, memorable food, and other amenities make this a full on 4 or 5 star hotel.

A bit disappointed as this expensive hotel said had been used by movie stars but the room facilities are old & the Wi-Fi is weak, food is no surprise. The room is spacious.

My review is for the customer service this hotel has. I booked a reservation through "Booking". And after; I modified and paid EXTRA to add breakfast ($40 Euros). Since we did a trip to different hotels in Morroco that we reserved through Booking, I got confused about the breakfast and didn't remember it was in this hotel. I have to say that when we arrived to the hotel at night, no body told us information about the breakfast or anything. The next day, we left. And the following nights when we arrive to the other hotel we had booked in Essaouira, they told us about the breakfast info; I told them we had it included and they say no. So basically is when I found out we had the breakfast included at Berbere Palace where no body gave us information even about the breakfast hours or anything.
So first I called the hotel, a guy answered and told me it was already at night, but to call the following day through Booking and they could do something about it; "Booking" called, and they didn't do anything. A week after; "Booking" calls again and they say that the manager is not there, and that the price was included on the room ( which is not true) as you can see in the pictures I attached how I payed $40 euros extra for it.
So I go ahead and call to this guy Mohamed to ask him for a refund of a breakfast no body told me info about when I arrived, which I payed EXTRA and that I didn't use, and he keeps telling me like a robot, "the price was included in the room","the price was included in the room".
So I asked him, if I could speak to the manager, he tells me the manager is going to be there tomorrow. So I sent an email for the supposed manager, and call the following day; and I speak to a guy that is the "manager" and explain him the whole situation and tell him to see the email I sent; and he repeats the same phrase like a robot "the price was included in the room" ( So I tell they guy, you are the same guy that answered yesterday; you are not the manager) So basically he was lying to me and pretending to be someone that he wasn't. OMG; it was so frustrating.
He told to call in three days to speak with a guy named Hamid that was the real manager. To be honest, I don't even know if Hamid even exists.
Just want to let know every tourist that wants to stay here; to be very careful ; because the customer service is really bad, and this people don't have clear that their main goal should be have happy clients that recommend to other people and that want to go back. Terrible customer service, and so cheap company; they prefer the $40 euros even though they didn't provide the service for them, and that the client paid extra for them- Don't recommend this place at all!response / report this review -

This hotel deserves 6 star ratings. Excellent service. Rooms and Suites are luxurious and breakfast buffet is appetizing. Highly recommend to couples looking for a honeymoon spot.

Suite in the end of the garden - quiet and perfect! 2 floors with 2 bedroom, 2 living room, balcony Very good food! Mist nothing!

We got a super nice two bedroom suite. The pool was good and they serve alcohol. The breakfast wasn't very good.

Everything you would expect from a 5 star restaurant! A little bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it. Big portions of awesomeness. Great music that is part of the background without being too much that you couldn't hold a conversation. The service was impeccable. Definitely would suggest it if you are looking for a memorable evening.
