Don't come and expect anything like the pictures. We checked in last night and we have had to book and pay for another hotel. It is drab, dated and the food is mediocre at best.
Great place if you have young children. I don't. Not so great. Very noisy, and impossible to escape the noise. Virtually all day, and then until midnight. But great for kids.
Hotel has seen better days, needs modernising.. Animation team are brilliant and helpful and go out there way to accommodate and look after the children. The food is okay nothing special not really catered for English tourists but hey can’t go wrong with bread,pasta,chips,soup.. the alcohol- spirits are rubbish but it’s expected the beers okay and the wines okay just pop to the local Supermarket 2min walk Uniprix and you can buy all alcohol from home at a good price. The pool is decent but not like on the pictures.. and the entertainment is lacking you will sit in the lobby and want to sleep.. Morocco is a wonderful country and the people are great. I honestly wouldn’t return to the royal mirage although everyone here is brilliant but will return to Morocco.
Too noisy in the evenings. Organist and singer good. Dancers too noisy. Can't escape. Have to go to your room to escape. Won't be coming back.
Its terrible to say the least!
I did my research on the hotel and a few of the comments made by previous guests staying at this hotel over the Christmas period was that even though they were all-inclusive, they still had to pay for the Christmas and New Year’s Gala Dinners. So I confirmed with my agent what the cost of these dinners would be as it was very apparent that the prices were very different on the previous guest reviews. The agent was able to get in writing that the Christmas Gala Dinner was 600MAD and the New Years was free and both included my all-inclusive drinks. Great I thought, I only had to pay an extra 50 something euros and I was ok with that… Or so I thought!
When I started to walk in to the dining area, I approached one of the members of staff and told them that I need to pay for the Gala. He advised that one of the managers would be over to me to sort but urged me to go in and start my meal. Halfway through my starter, the manager came over and asked for my room number, so I gave it to him and told him that I need to pay. He nodded and walked off, but only to come back with another manager who then proceeded to quite frustrated with me and said that if I didn’t pay now, I’d have to leave! I told him that I had already pointed out to both the other manager and another member of staff who told me to start my meal that I needed to pay and that I have no problem with this. We walked over to the till and out of the corner of my eye I saw that my table was being re-set and my starter was taken away. Once at the till, I enquired about the price of the meal to which one of the managers said 6000MAD! Not 600, but 6000! I said that the price must be a mistake and can that advise again to which both managers said 6000MAD! I then asked if they could write it down so that there was no confusion and so they did, a six followed by three zeros (6000) was written down on a piece of paper. I stressed to them that this was a mistake and that the price was extortionate! They once again insisted that this was correct and that if I didn’t like it then I would have to leave the dining area. I proceeded to go to my room to collect my paperwork that I had printed off and went back down to the till. I once more gave the managers a chance to redeem themselves to avoid any further ill feeling as at this point (like most of Agadir) I felt that they were clearly trying to rip me off. They still insisted that it was 6000 even though I advised them that sure they mean 600 but no, they were very clear on 6000 until I showed them my paperwork confirming that it was 600MAD not 6000MAD. Their reaction was of two school boys that have just been caught in the act without any way out of it. They tried to say that the paperwork was incorrect but at this point I was quite rood, said what needed to be said and walked off! I tried to complain that the reception desk which was pointless! I was advised that any non ‘Gala’ paying guest could eat in the other restaurant and once there I found the food fit for dogs, not fit for guests that have paid the extra for all-inclusive… To top off this horrific moment and to add insult to injury, a few days later I found out that at least four other All-Inclusive guest that were also asked for their room numbers, didn’t have to pay for the Gala Dinner at all!!!
I will never go back to this hotel again and I would suggest to all that are thinking about a break to Agadir, to avoid at all costs. In no way is this hotel relaxing, comfortable, clean nor chilled out as everything is just too much work and stressed. Not good at all…
Excellent hotel and staff very helpful and friendly. Food is OK all inclusive best option, morrocan tea must be had, good hotel location by the beach and shops and free zoo 5 minutes walk from hotel.
bathroom not proper clean, just one english tv channel, bad WIFI
Very bad I booked thinking it was a 4 star hotel but the rooms were very bad good enough be from a 1 star hotel. The wardobes were broken and the bathroom was also broken.Good tginh i saw the rooms before i paid in and checked in,So I walked straight and got a better hotel and cheaper hotel the Mogador madina hotel.
Great service but the hotel itself needs a lot of updates. The room I stayed in had a water leak from the A/C unit also saw a couple roaches roaming around.
Worst hotel ever, very dirty, bed sheets were never changed, we could smell the odor of previous residents, spots all over bed sheets and pillow cover, toilet was full of cockroaches. When complained to manager, he only agreed by shaking his head. Did not say a single word. Pool was dirty and food reminded us of boot camp food. Flies were all over the food on the buffet. I would not give this property any star!
Their rooms are not well maintained scratched everywhere patches of paint on the dressers nothing like the pictures on the website The Dilemma is we made a reservation of Five Nights I wish I didn't
Great staff and location. Food is not great at all. Very repetitive but manager did come and speak to us and ask us what they could do to improve which in my books is very good. I hope you change the menu and a freshen up of the rooms and this will be one of the best hotels in the area.
EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY. 4* No. Choice & variety for Breakfast, lunch and dinner could be better, hot food was never really that hot, some occasions cold. Don't get me wrong, you won't starve. You get what you pay for.
Waited for room about one hour without getting one.
Look is warn down.
Use to be a great hotel but unfortunately was taken over by new management in 2016 and has gone downhill quite significantly.
Nice staff, clean bedrooms, acceptable food
Lovley place, friendly entertaining staff. Nice food, good location, water in both pools were cold even tho we were promised heated pool (February)
Love this hotel. We were there for Christmas and New Year. The beds are comfy. The food is good but you won't get chips! There is a McDonald's and Pizza Hut very close by. The sea can be seen from the hotel. The animation team are fantastic and work so hard.
It is a bit noisy as there is a casino on one side and a night club on the other side. Also roads front and back. Having said that it would not stop us from going back. We would have gone for Christmas but it is already fully booked.
