Best Tajines we had within Morocco, inspired by spanish flavours. (ask without mushrooms)

As a female solo traveller there weren't a lot of places in Tangier that I felt comfortable in. This was an exception! Beautiful food with even more beautiful service.

A nice little respite from the hustle and bustle of chaotic Tangier. The couple that runs it is as nice and friendly as they come. So sweet to our son! They gave me some ibuprofen for my headache when the pharmacy were all closed. Delicious tea and drinks and food! If we are ever back in Tangier we would definitely be back.

Enjoyed a fabulous meal outside. Such fresh produce and well seasoned food. Enjoyed couscous and chicken kebabs. Couscous was served on its own in a large bowl accompanied by vegetable tagine with lots of hearty vegetables. The kebabs were so crisp from a light breading and serious spice mixture. Was so impressed and happy with this meal. Would definitely eat there again, especially the kebabs. Such a nice texture. Wish I had more nights in Tangier to try more of their food.

Very cute little tea house. The place has a livingroom vibe, and their "petit dejeuner" is really good.

Original vegan tajine, rooftop terrace, warm and welcoming service.

This was the best place I have eaten in Tangier or in Morocco for that matter. I can also truly say that 'a l'anglaise' is vegetarian or vegan-friendly. You can eat a vegetarian tajine anywhere, but much less effort and care is usually put into those dishes.

This cute family business welcomes you with a lovely mother and her daughters in a carefully decorated and cozy living room setting. The girls speak perfect English and are more than happy to have a friendly chat and give you some recommendations on what to do in the area.

One of the best things about this place is the lovely rooftop terrace. There is an inside as well as an outside part to accommodate you despite the weather conditions. They have a good wifi connection-which can be hard to find-although it does not reach the rooftop.

Now the food; it was pricier than at other places. We paid two or three times as much. But it has not been easy to find Moroccan food with a twist. As a vegan, my options are either vegetarian tajine or couscous. This becomes boring quite quickly because it is always prepared with the same vegetables (carrots, zucchini, potato) and prepared with much less care than this beautiful creation.

I ordered a vegan tajine and got a beautifully presented artichoke tajine with leek and legumes. On the side I ordered some delicious vegan spinach samosas on a bed of mint leaves. All of this with freshly squeezed orange juice of course.

    Pros:
    - original vegetarian tajine
    - understood veganism
    - speak fluent English
    - friendly service
    - rooftop terrace
    - good wifi connection

    Cons:
    - wifi did not reach rooftop
    - pricier than other restaurants

Despite the considerable online buzz, found it to be disappointing and very overpriced. Can get far more delicious Tagine just down the road at Hasan's for a very reasonable price.

Very small and intimate place (not a real restaurant) that can fit at most a dozen clients at a time. One of the few places where one can eat home food not restaurant food. Especially recommended for foreign visitors who want to taste some fine Moroccan dishes. Warm welcome and family atmosphere. Very affordable prices.
