Nice museum about Latvia and Riga history. Worth of 1.5 - 2.0 hours to spend here and see interesting exhibits including 500 yo Big Kristaps statue and the legend about beginning of Christmas tree decoration tradition in Riga.

My favorite museum in Riga, I loved the building, the contents, and I believe it gives a rich explanation of Riga's history! My only complaint is that the information could be more accessible for English speakers (although it's available it's not too practical)

This place seriously need to add English to their monters explaining what everything his. There is some pamphlets, but it is harder to use than the info next to the items. This museum for some of the highest asking price of all museums and they should fix this.
