The biggest art museum in the city, it houses over 52,000 works of art, it is one of the most impressive historical buildings on the boulevard and is situated next to the Academy of Art.

This "museum" allowed itself to be rented out by Audi. I arrived to find out that every single floor of THE Latvian National Museum of Art had been rented out and that the museum was closed for the entire day. Oh, but I could still pay 3.50 euros to visit the special 1 floor exhibition in the basement! Only a little more than half the price of actual admission to the entire Museum (what a steal!) I fail to see why a national museum of Art full of national treasures for the purpose of being viewed by the public has allowed itself to be turned into some sort of low class banquet hall for a rich corporation to taste wine. Aren't there actual banquet halls for this purpose? Shame on the museum for this and shame on them for still charging admission to the exhibition downstairs. Absolutely uncouth, unbecoming and disgusting. Let banquet halls and hotels host events, let museums be museums!

True pice of art. Realy beautiful and modern it's almost a small louvre. The interior is part of story! If you live or if you visit Latvia then MUST SEE!

The first building in the Baltic countries that was built for the needs of Art Museum. The building has been nicely restored and now has a huge extension underground. It houses Latvian paintings. A must to be visited in Riga.

Tiny area for the old good artwork. Most of it is new 'artwork', which is basically junk from any markets in most cities or garbage like a hanging german sausage! What the!!!! How is this art! Gave it 1 star for good clean toilets! Wasted €6!

Very good museum, love the works from 1900 to 2000. The space is super interesting as well, compared to all those famous museums, this one has its own identify.

The building inside was very nice and permanent exhibition spans four floors so it's well worth the three euros fee.

One of the better art museums in Northern Europe, the building itself is a architectural masterpiece with the underground section and rooftop views. Great and diverse exhibition of Latvian art, many different genres and enough to keep you busy for hours.
