This is an absolutely great place to stay if you want to see the real Riga and avoid spending your time in another cookie cutter hotel. Ric and Diga are wonderful hosts and treat you like family. They have a huge wooden home with spacious rooms.and a beautiful garden. One of the nicest aspects is being outside the city and meeting people who know Riga well. Their home is an easy walk to Mezaparks (a huge forest park) which is where people from Riga go to escape the city (Ric loaned me a bicycle and gave me a tour on my first morning). The Old City and downtown are a very easy tram ride that is simple to navigate and costs about a euro. I highly, highly recommend Ric and Diga's homestay. Price includes a huge breakfast each morning. I stayed here for four nights/

A special place full of good vibes and a real home away from home. The owners are very friendly and open to the world, and their love for intellectual pursuits, science, literature, nature and sports is very engaging and makes each visit to the homestay a rewarding and memorable experience.
