Best hotel to stay in hikkaduwa area. Has good food, music, cocktail and liquor options along with best rooms to stay facing beach. Very easy to access from colombo through main route.really good customer service and very famous among foreign travellers

Absolute absolute absolute RIP-OFF!
2000LKR for two coffees and a tasteless, colourless and lifeless plate of vegetables.

We had a disappointing meal here. My son had the Chinese noodle soup which contained rice and not egg noodle. My daughter and wife had the seafood pasta in a tomato sauce which sounded nice but turned out to be sweet and sour with overcooked spaghetti and was inedible to our taste. The waiter was nice and receptive of our disappointment and offered another dish but appetites were spoiled and we returned the dishes. I had a chilli crab which was nice. The menu is extensive and is trying to cover many tastes yet mastering only local dishes from this experience. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, wooden decor and great seafront location.

Get the high rise shack by yourself or with a bunch of buds , sure are to enjoy your time here ! Ask for the lion stout if you are a dark beer person .

The only place that would rent me a towel, and their restaurant service was impeccable. My only minor complaint would be that they are a bit skimpy on their serving of chips (fries) but on the whole it's a very nice place to have lunch and cocktails on the beach.

Very tasty food, but price high enough. Many events with live music and decorations. Staff very responsible. I recommend to rest there.

Went to Mamas for food one evening whilst in Hikkaduwa. Hands down the worst service we’ve had in Sri Lanka. We had to chase up waiters for food and when it finally arrived they served up the wrong dish twice (seafood curry instead of chicken curry, which my girlfriend is allergic to). For good food try Cool Spot instead.

I have been in Sri Lanka for 14 days and the Rice and Curry I had here was the best so far, by a big margin. The breakfast was mediocre and the hotel was good. The staff was helpful. The Mojitos was really good.

We stayed at the hotel nearby and walked past this inviting place every day. It has great vibe and atmosphere, superb view to the ocean. Initially had lunch (crab) and a drink there and came back later for dinner too. Place is clean and service is great :) Seafood is delicious!

Located at the beach with nice view from the terrace. The food is okay, but had much better in Sri Lanka, especially for the price. However the service is excellent and very friendly.

The location is beautiful. Enjoyed bathing in the sea. We had a boat ride to view corals and fish. The sea food platter was authentic and excellent. They serve pure fresh fruit juice without added sugar. Excellent service and great value for money. Dr Eranti , Kandy

Mouth watering seafood and a chilled beer at the edge of the beach will definitely charge your batteries. Subtle and balance seafood meal in an evening listening to the music at "loud and clear" is priceless. Friendly staff and also the food and the services offered are at a reasonable price. A must go place if you are heading to Hikka.

Paied 50$ for a room, with breakfast, on New Year's Eve period. We were a group of four people, with two booked rooms. They were similar, so my review is not just for one room.
THE BAD
Furniture was extremely old and damaged. Air conditioning worked but very noisy, but that wasn't a problem, since car noise from the street was much higher. Lots of power outages during the day. Bed sheets dirty also with old some blood stains. Greasy floor, washed with dirty mop. Noise from the street was extreme, soundproofing is bellow zero.
Serving in restaurant was extremely slow, food was eatable.

Beautiful sea view, good location.
