Golf course, Snooker room, general areas NOT maintained at all..food just edible, dress code vanished members in open neck T's at dinner, anyone can walk in and order food and drinks - whole lot of undesirable Indians, HNB function with very loud horrible music deep in to the night ambiance and class gone to the dogs so sad..

Tough course but you will enjoy playing here. Restaurant is acceptable. Lovey cost place in a cool climate. Caddies are available. A practice range is available.

One of the oldest clubs in Nuwara Eliya, and in Sri Lanka. Golf courts are located along Peradeniya road and towards the actual club. Variety of people have memberships here and one type in particular are estate managers. Aside from playing golf, you can actually have meetings/ events here with in house catering. The place also provide accommodation to members. Food is great and architecture is elegant.

Knowledge and good service caddies. They have a practice range that is actually on one of the hole fairways and the caddy retrieves the basis for you. A lot of water hazards and long holes that are hard to follow. The rough areas vary from barely rough to so high you can lose your ball. Many holes overlap each other and can be quite narrow.

I was there in the offseason, so I got in as a guest.. But they threat their guest like peasants

Edit: We were 11 people, when we arrived to our next location we all got stomach ache (The doctor said it was bacteria from raw food like Eggs and chicken) and puked the entire night, and we are still sick (2 days after the arrival.

Poorly service! Dont wash the bed sheets, dust everywhere in the rooms my girlfriend and I coughed and sneezed for the entirety of our 2 nights duration of our stay.

The restaurant service poorly as well I got raw eggs for breakfast, the main courses were low quality European foods. I recommend you buy authentic local food instead, cheaper and taste a lot better than what you'll ever receive from the restaurant staff. For not talking about the slow service.
I went in to complain about the food, and I saw the open kitchen where 3 cooks stood still and chatted with each other! Unacceptable behavior for any restaurant anywhere in the world, unless if service is closed.

and the seats in the dinning area were dirty and not washed (seats with white coating), the napkins were dirty, and the next day they were still dirty.

The size portion is so small I had too buy 2 main dishes in the evening before I got full. The only good thing about the "Golf Club" were their decent toilets.

A members only club, the NE golf club is an all-rounder. Views, food, service and ambience, you name it, they've flaunt it. BEST prices, I recommend EVERYTHING on the menu but a frequently ordered dish is their cheese toast. From beautiful wooden ceilings to brick hearths, the interior take you back in time. (Members are allowed to bring in guests but if you want membership, you need to love golf and )

The Golf Club is a great, secluded and quiet place in Nuwara Eliya. The main attractions are the world famous golf course, the old fashioned restaurant and the cozy bar. The service is brilliant. It's a members only club so if you're not a member you'll have to get a member to take you there. There's a dress code for the bar and restaurant- no shorts, slippers, sarongs. The staff is really friendly and the crowds that visit are quite charming :)
