This restaurant has very tasty meal combinations. Specially i loved the Naan with the Mutton gravy. But the price is bit towards the higher side .

The hotel and the surrounding is lovely. The room we are in is adequate for us. The downside is the shortage of plug points to charge equipment. Ventilation is not brilliant as lots of condensation on windows. Food is excellent and lots of choices. Staff very friendly.

It didn't meet up to my expectations. Though there's still a big queue for the food most days. Food -average. Service and hospitality wasn't up to the mark. Waited for 45mins to finally get a table.

Very taste Indian food, although the chilli has been trimmed down to accommodate for the predominantly western visitors. Busy at night in the high season, so make sure you at the entrance on time.
The staff is very friendly and the most professional I have come across in Sri Lanka. Came for dinner, returned the next day for lunch!response / report this review -

The food was great and so was the service! A bit of a wait for a table as it's usually busy but the hosts were very polite and accommodating. Price was about 19,000 rupees for a group of 9 (including drinks, entrees, main and dessert) so the price is good also.

Loved the food Gr8 view Limited menu thoughIndian and Chinese food mostly. Not for the budget traveler. The staff is good and friendly The head manager ensures customer satisfaction.. Would love to visit again Avg cost for lunch 3 ppl 100$

Grrand hotel high tea is amazing you want to drink evening tea with historical place???? This is the place you finding. 3 to 6 you can enjoy with special tea and coffee.

Nice restaurant, many variety of food, professional staff at reasonable price. Very clean and managed by Grand Hotel Nuwara Eliya.Every time very busy means they do good job.

The worst service we've had on our entire trip including road side cafes!
We were so looking forward to having a great meal after a long journey from Ella. The weather was cold and wet and so perfect for a good Indian meal. The reviews were excellent. The restaurant was quiet probably just a few couples. The service was shocking. No recommendation of what we should order despite asking. The food came out in about 30 seconds after we had ordered it. It wasn't hot in temperature and despite us being in deep conversation about our so far .. excellent trip the food was whisked away giving us the impression we weren't welcome. When asked about masala chai we were told we could only have black tea and anything else we would need to move to their coffee shop next door.
As you can see I'm usually a happy and high scorer when it comes to giving reviews but honestly may be he was having a bad day but that's shouldn't have meant he ruined ours!
We had planned to come back in the evening and try one of the hotels other restaurants but decided to give it a miss.response / report this review -

Nice place. Mixed food. Veg and non veg. Alcohol is also served. And people smoke too. Didn't realise till I had ordered. The staff was kind enough to accommodate us in a private room.

Very very good Indian food in a upscale setting. Lots of vegetarian options which is fabulous. Pricey, but worth it. Arrive 6pm for a 6.30 opening time if you want a table.

One of the best Indian restaurants we've been to. The selection of rotis are great, and the prawn curry was one of the best we've had in Sri Lanka. The place is a bit cramped, and service is just okay. But the food is remarkable.
