Stay away!
Terrible staff.
We booked a room with balcony and Seaview but when we got there they tried to give us a room on the bottom floor with no windows, that smelled horrible of mold and felt like a prison cell, when we complied they said they were fully booked.
After 15-20 minutes of arguing they finally gave us our room that was clearly prepared for us..

Comfortable beds, but the linnen was stained with blood or something similar..

At the breakfast that was Included it was we and another table. Waited one hour for very bad coffee, toast. 3 very small slices of watermelon two slices of dry orange and two rings of pineapple, .. while we had waited abouta30-40 minutes our waiter took of to the beach and played ball with his stoner friend.. when we finally got our fried eggs they were raw in the middle and overdrive's around, and since they have windows to the unhygenic kitchen, we didn't dare to eat it.
All of the staff seemed very high and was more interested of being high than help any of the guest..
DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. STAY AWAY

i don't know why some people do bad reviews about this place. this is good hotel in the center of Mirissa, first line with their own beach, most rooms are sea-view location. hotel is in middle price category. yes, they don't clean your room every day by default, but they do if you ask them. here's a very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfasts, hot water in bathroom are always present, nice view to the ocean, many of shops and restaurants are near. this is best hotel for its price!

Decent hotel but at times, very poor service in the restaurant. Its similar to what others here have said. Firstly, as you can see for the pic, the room is clean with a great view (this is the top floor without balcony but they gave a good price). Secondly, I ate at the restaurant 3 times, and the food was totally ok, except my last fish dinner. Im into food, took the cooking class in Mirissa, so take pics at times, as I did for my fish curry lunch and fish, shrimp and calamari dinner. It doesn’t make me happy to write a negative review about staff who work long hours, however if they break common decency then I feel I have to. In my case it seems my plate must not have been rinsed clean because, on the last meal only, during a busy time at the restaurant, every other bite had a strong taste of soap. When I brought that up, they ignored me and then one fellow, wearing a blue cap, called me a “Liarman” about 20 times quite loudly. It was unbelievable. Not only was I a guest at the hotel and eating all my meals there, but I had been a guest there three years ago. I asked to speak to management but was told they are abroad or were in the hospital. On my previous visit, there was onsite management, a nice woman, and I doubt that kind of behavior could have occurred, it was disappointing. I ended up going next door with friends who just arrived and ordering (and paying for) dinner again after a long wait for a partial refund along with many insults.

After ordering three beers for my friends and I, the highly intoxicated boss here (short curly hair, usually wears a cap) verbally assaulted me for not speaking in Sinhalese to him. He then threatened to beat me up in order to teach me the language and as I walked away from this guy, he told me that he would get someone to rape me! Try to avoid at all costs.

They had a good dj for the new year. What pissed me off was they don't allow locals in, instead they portray beach boys as locals to the foreign tourists.. They are ruining the lankan impression by asking for money and selling drugs.. The beach ofcourse is really nice..

Awful service, the hotel is a complete mess and the restaurant is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Cold food, skimpy portions and an attitude from the owner/mafia boss that can send you to jail.

When not willing to pay service charge, he harassed us and shout out of his lungs that he was fare and he provided excelent servicewhich is bull. This place is a scan.

Please, choose wisely, there's plenty of places to make your stay in Mirissa wonderful, this is simply NOT the place.
