  Do not be misled. The photos showcasing this hotel were obviously taken when the hotel first opened. The hotel at best is shabby. It's poorly maintained and quite frankly grimy. From the stained bed sheets (I will be fair- the sheets smelled like they were freshly laundered) to the stained mosquito net that had clearly seen better days.
  
  Included in the price is breakfast- but as hygiene is clearly not a priority here at the Giragala Village hotel, I would advise that you are selective in what you choose If you are lucky to have an iron stomach- then eat up!
  
  Having walked along the beach, there are other better places to stay, so do your research!
  
  It's clearly all about location for this hotel. It's literally a stones throw away from the public beach and that's why I've given it one star.

  Girigala village is directly on to the beautiful sandy beach of mirissa. Ideal hotel for a beach holiday . A must if in sri lanka.

  This is our 4th trip to Giragala, second this year. Decent staff, spacious lawn with hammocks with access only to hotel guests. And the Sri Lankan rice and curry is fantastic. Rooms are simple but practical. Value for money and very peaceful. Most guests are non intrusive foreigners.

  Very nice place to spend holidays. Big lawn . Open space . This place is just middle of BAY. Amazing sea view both left side and right side. Front small mountain cool breeze blowing all over. Can enjoy in lawn. Rooms are not very Luxury but Money wise ok. Breakfast fantastic. Cooperative staff. Very nice place to stay and spend time. Full value of Money..Unforgettable!!!!
