Best hotel I have ever been to. Everyone is unbelievably nice. There are so many tours and there is always something to do like scuba diving and snorkeling. Their food is so well prepared. The beach is so calm with employees walking around helping you. There is no A.C in your hotel room and the WiFi isn’t the best but it doesn’t ruin the experience that I had!
Beautiful place to visit for a couple days, secluded. If you stay longer, be aware the food selection is limited if you do not eat meat. Additionally, to get off the property by foot is a very long and tiring walk. The road to the resort looks like it has been bombed the entire length. If you get motion sickness of any kind this is not a good way to enter or exit the facility. If you want a room with AC, you are at the base of the mountain by the beach. If y9u want to go to breakfast, it is 180 steps up. The AC equipped room I stayed in was full of mold and mildew and I got sick. I could not wait to leave. The staff was very friendly and seemed to care to a point. To order room service, you need to go outside to a phone on a pole. Very expensive for what you get.
Rustic Caribbean Luxury which is difficult to deliver but this resort does it well. Fantastic hillside rooms and the best food I've had at any resort in St Lucia. Staff are very genuine and you really become part of the family if you wish to be. Local bands provide exceptional evening entertainment.
Best place for scuba and intimate vacation.
The people here are the nicest, sweetest people who are genuine when it comes to taking care of tourists.
Excellent hotel. It is the type of resort that tryes to offer everything in one place so you never need to look elsewhere. Normally we don't like this type of resort and prefer to explore on our own but this one offers a lot of options both inside the resort as well as excursions outside and it does all it offers extremely well.
Would definitely go back.
The best. Local. Elegant. High end without being stuffy. The. Best.
One of the best snorkeling sites off the beach here, beautiful coral reefs and tons of marine life. The black sand beach was pretty cool as well.
Rooms open to the view, gorgeous accommodations, helpful, attentive staff, gorgeous beaches and a wide range of activities make this resort a unique getaway!
The dive centre is very well run by a team of excellent staff, the beach bar was great too!
Really enjoyed my stay here. We had an amazing room overlooking the pitons. Staff were very friendly, food good and substantial. Beaches were great with best snorkelling we have seen in the Caribbean. My husband went diving and said most professional dive centre he has been too.
The perfect blend of quiet and fun. Good snorkeling right off the beach. Friendly staff.
The architectural concept, that of rooms open to nature, is perfect. The execution fails in a few key areas: Live music every night until 10pm is a problem when your open rooms were designed to let in the sounds of nature. The hotel restaurants do not really offer you a taste of creole food (Apsara food tastes nothing like local st lucian food in the towns). The hotel is on a cliff side with long steep walks to and from the beach and no phone/service in the rooms or buggy service to transport less mobile guests around. On the plus side the hotel staff are very friendly and the two beaches of Anse Chastenet and Anse Mamin are among the most beautiful on the island. There is a dive centre on site and hotel guests have access to free non-motorised water sports.
We went out for our honeymoon and I couldn't think of a better place. Food was in, staff were friendly and fun to be around and the room was incredible!
Currently on holiday and staying at this resort. I will update this review if the holiday improves.
1) yesterday we decided to do the walk around the local grounds. The brochure states to wait in the beach bar. We did that and next thing we know the tour has actually left from the Scuba centre. If that is where it is leaving from then why not put that in the Brochure?
2) we ordered drinks for our room. The leaflet says allow 60-75 minutes for delivery. We've so far waited 2 hours and had to climb the 100 steps to reception to tell them we still haven't had our order. 30 minutes later still we did receive our drinks. 6 dollars for a coke and 5 dollars service for delivery. Completely ridiculous. All we got was an "oh sorry"
3) we never received our complimentary water on our second day which is annoying because the tap water tastes awful.
4) we've got horse riding booked for tomorrow 185 dollars each plus 20pct service and tax. So 444 USD total. The place we are riding charges 75 dollars each for the ride. Granted it's a fair distance away by car but surely the 110 dollars they add for transport per person doesn't scale in the same way.
5) no phones in the rooms. They leave messages on a blackboard which is 100 or so steps at reception. Do they expect you to pop up and down 3 or 4 times a day to check if you have a message?
The only positives so far are the nice beaches and wildlife. Staff are also mostly very polite and friendly.
Amazing location, great staff, pricey but worth it
Its a resort, on an island of dreams, thats there is to it! AMAZING food and service, the staff are super friendly and always asking you how you are and if you need anything.
Absolutely love this hotel. Excellent food and amazing service. Gorgeous beach and activities
Everything is amazing at Anse Chastanet Resort. The service is beyond excellent and the food.divine. Totally enjoyed every minute of my weekend spent there.
An absolute gem. We stayed here for our honeymoon and am so glad we did. You won't find better customer service anywhere. The rooms/villas are amazing, views are beautiful, and their restaurants are fantastic. You definitely need to get the all inclusive plan because the food is very expensive otherwise, but the all inclusive is absolutely worth it. Aspara, their Indian inspired restaurant, was my favorite, and every meal was awesome. Most of the food comes from their organic farm, Emerald Estate, located on the grounds, and you can taste the freshness in every bite. We were very lucky to get upgraded halfway through our stay to their 5 star sister resort Jade Mountain, which sits just above Anse Chastanet. Anse Chastanet is paradise, but Jade Mountain is heaven on earth. Due to the beauty, customer service, and the food, I would recommend Anse Chastanet to anyone. Please let me know if you decide so I can get referral credit to get back asap:)
Impeccable service and gourmet food. Add breath taking views and you now know Anse Chastanet.
Very friendly staff. Foods great and accomodation good.
This is where Eddie Murphy and Dan Ackroyd go at the end of Trading Places. Awesome.
A perfect honeymoon unplugged from reality, Anse Chastanet delivers. Exceptionally nice locals, delicious food, breathtaking views, and stunning design. There are no TVsyou come to the resort to come to true St. Lucia, not America. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the service, the details, the tranquility, the amenities, and the decision we made to book here for a week. Thank you, Anse Chastanet!
the minute i entered the resort i twisted my ankle in their parking lot. which is full of potholes, so be careful. food was very expensive and dry. if u gono charge 50 bucks for a burger and fries at least make it half decent. if u come here u wont really have much option when it come to food. the road from the main road to the resort is pretty much a dirt road. it will take you 30 min to do a mile. so get a SUV.
Traveled here on my honeymoon and it was absolutely exceptional! The most incredible resort I have ever been to. The food was 5 star, staff was 5 star, and the beach was 5 star! I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone interested in visiting St. Lucia. This resort is located on the side of the island where you want to be. Beautiful snorkeling right off the beach and lots of activities and exursions that take place on this side of the island. Also, I really enjoyed the yoga classes that were offered! Hope to be a repeat guest in the future!
