The Hotel is very authentic, the views are beautiful on all Beirut, and the 5 stars are for the Spa. The most beautiful and mesmerizing indoor pool I have been to (and this is coming from someone who does not fancy pools in general). If you are staying at the hotel, the access is free, and you get discount for the spa.
My husband and I tried the Duo experience - consists of 1hr of Hammam and 1hr of Fusion massage - and it went just great. Very relaxing and exactly what you'd need when you are escaping the city.
The design and architecture of the spa are just breathtaking. The "jeu de lumière", the colors, the arabesque design and the pool water mixed with the view on the pine trees outdoors is just magnificent!
Had lunch at the Italian restaurant. The pizza was very good and they had a special dish for Easter Sunday, Osso Bucco with tagliatelle, which was also delicious. The nice thing is that they had activities for the kids like Easter egg hunt, animation and donkeys rides (all complementary but nice to tip the guy walking the donkey). We go there for Easter lunch every year and enjoy it every time. The only thing that was disappointing this year is that the ice cream fridge was broken and the other option was a choice of 3 desserts only, which were not very tempting. Needless to say kids were not very happy about that.
Great sea view and mountain fresh air location
Went to see a play in the festival. Nice théâtre. Elegant place. Excellent play(hosted by persona Production). They are always presenting very good plays.
A Gem of the Golden Era. The modernist days! All of the hotel is like a work of art. Wonderful staff!
Even has a state of the art Italian made gym and spa. And amazing italian restaurant.
It is truly a hidden place yet to be discovered by the modern world!
Old but gold in love with place Ancient majestic amazing garden great service extremely fresh food wonderful SPA
5 stars spa. An amazing experience. The place is clean and wonderfully decorated. The staff is very nice and helpful. I had the hammam and it is the same as in turkey( in aya sophia big hammmam ) which is one of the best in turkey. I will definitely come back for the spa experience!
The hotel, i am used to it, one of the first hotel in the area. Its not old, its vintage, and very well preserved. The "cadre" is very nice and relaxing between the pine trees and a beautifull view on beirut.
Excellent service and warm welcome. Refined food. Best Italian cuisine.
Nice setup in the quiet green Beit Mery region, close and yet far.
Dated hotel in desperate need of a refresh. There is a charm in the 1980s decor and the art is fantastic but the prices are definitely not a throw back to yesterday year they are the equivalent of a 5 star modern hotel.
Old school, well maintained hotel. Great views. Fantastic Spa facilities.
Amazing hotel and great staff. The view is amazing and pool is fun. The spa and hydro pool are a must try!
Nice location, but old hotel not renovated yet
Perfect setup for a great scenery and nature. I love the lighting at night. Very romantic.
