  Wat Xiang Man is just one of a number of very beautiful temples in the central part of Luang Prabang. Well worth making a visit to.

  Le Vat Xieng Mouane (1853 et rénové en 1964)
  Nom : Monastère de la ville heureuse. Son ancien nom était le Vat Sieng Mouane et signifiait : Monastère des sons mélodieux (gong et tambour).
  Ce temple, situé en plein centre, est très calme. On pourra admirer les très nombreux ouvrages décoratifs, notamment les peintures, pochoirs et travaux sur bois, les dorures, ainsi que les très nombreuses représentations de Bouddha. Il abrite un centre d’enseignement du Bouddhisme traditionnel associé à l’enseignement artistique de la peinture et de la sculpture. Grand fronton doré et toit tombant très bas lui donnent un cachet particulier. Une chapelle et des Thats blancs et or, à la droite du sim, sont de toute beauté.
  
  Vat Xieng Mouane (1853 and renovated in 1964)
  Name: Monastery of the happy city. Its former name was Wat Sieng Mouane and meant Monastery of the melodious sounds (gong and drum).
  This temple, located in the center, is very quiet. The many decorative works can be admired, including paints, stencils and woodwork, gilding, and the many representations of the Buddha. It offers a traditional Buddhist teaching center associated with the artistic education of painting and sculpture. Large golden roof and pediment falling very low give it a special cachet. A chapel and white and gold Thats to the right of the sim, are beautiful.

  The temples are amazing and you can walk around inside of them, where you can see the detailed painting and statues inside. Entry fee is 20,000KIP which isn't too bad.
