  วัดหนองสีคูนเมือง หรือเรียกกันว่าวัดหนอง สร้างเมืองเกือบ 300 ปีก่อน เมื่อก่อนเคยสวยงามและยิ่งใหญ่ก่อนถูกไฟไหม้ และได้มีการบูรณะขึ้นมาใหม่ เร็วๆนี้ได้สิมแบบเวียงจันทร์รวมทั้งกระจกลายสีต่าง ทำให้สวยงามแบบสมัยใหม่ เสียดายไม่เปิดให้เข้าชมพระประธานด้านใน โดยรอบเงียบสงบไม่ไม่นักท่องเที่ยวมาเยี่ยมชมมากนักถึงแม้จะในภายในดาวเทาน์หลวงพระบาง

  原本寺廟被摧毀了，這是後來鋼筋水泥重建的建築。參觀不用收費，禮拜六造訪，完全沒有遊客及參拜人潮。

  Vat Nong Sikhounmuang (signifie Pagode de l'étang)
  Il fut construit pour la première fois en 1729 dans le style de Xieng Khouang. Mais le Vat fut détruit par l'incendie de la ville en 1774. Reconstruit en 1804, il fut endommagé par le temps et les intempéries. Finalement le temple fut entièrement reconstruit en 1965 en béton armé dans le style Thaï. Ce temple abrite l’une des plus grandes pagodes de Luang Phabang. La pagode est richement décorée de pochoirs. D’un style inspiré de celui de Vientiane, le temple a l’une des plus jolies toitures aux couleurs flamboyantes de style thaï.
  
  Wat Nong Sikhounmuang (means Pagoda of the pond)
  It was built for the first time in 1729 in the style of Xieng Khouang. But the Vat was destroyed by fire in the city in 1774. Rebuilt in 1804, it was damaged by time and weather. Finally the temple was completely rebuilt in 1965 of reinforced concrete in the Thai style. This temple houses one of the largest pagodas in Luang Phabang. The pagoda is richly decorated with stencils. From a style inspired by the style of Vientiane, the temple has one of the prettiest flamboyant colors roof of Thai style.
