We booked 3 nights but ended up staying 7. We were in a triple room and it was great. The beds were one of the most comfortable beds we've stayed in so far, the room was cleaned daily and the breakfast, which was included in the price, was awesome. I highly recommend this spot :) thank you for your hospitality Kim!

Stayed in a 4 bed dorm. Room only had one key for the 4 (Random) people. Common area riddled with mosquitoes(not the hostels fault). Toilets smelled so bad and the toilets also didn't have a wash basin. Would not recommend, however free breakfast was good. We booked for 6 nights left after the first night. The reception was however kind enough to refund us the cost of 4 nights. Cheap place to stay if you are on a budget and are flexible on cleanliness. lockers were tiny considering you didn't have a room key. Comfy beds.

This wasn't a good fit for me. Dumbly, I'd booked ahead on Agoda, and based on the reviews just booked my whole five nights in town instead of just one night to check it out first.

The bed was super comfortable, the room uncomfortable -- small and cramped, so stuff ended up everywhere, quite noisy, tough to get a comfortable temperature, yada yada. It was a busy hostel, people coming and going, so my guess was they wouldn't be stuck with a bed they couldn't rent, so before check out time the next morning, I let the owner know I'd be leaving. I really like her -- I think she's a straight shooter, and she's working hard to get this business going. But I felt like she was pretty legalistic about how she dealt with this. I wasn't super happy with the resolution of paying 2.5 nights for a 1 night stay, but that's where we ended up.

You might like this place and have no problem with the things that bugged me, but there are also plenty of other options nearby (I ended up finding a private room with it's own bathroom for the same price). So I'd recommend just showing up or booking one night max, seeing if it's a good fit first, and not making the mistake I did by going all in just based on reviews.

Lovely clean & friendly guest house. Nothing is too much trouble for the solicitous manageress. Good simple breakfasts. Running hot water in both sink and shower.
Unlike a lot of places we've stayed it's obvious that effort and imagination has gone into making Thavisouk a pleasant place to stay.

Kim the manager is amazing! She makes everybody feel welcome, asks about your day and generally looks after you well. The rooms are clean and cleaned everyday. Breakfast is nice. The only down side is people were up until 3am talking in the downstairs area which is close to bedrooms. It would be good if there was a rule about being quiet after midnight.
    But overall I recommend it.

We’ve been here for 4 days. Very nice and helpfull staff. Rooms are very tidy and clean (Deluxe Room). Location is also very good. You can choose between 7 different breakfast options and especially the Banana pancakes tasted really good. The shower was one of the highlights during our stay (rain shower on top with good water pressure and hot water). Absolutely good value for money in Luang Prabang. We can recommend this place.

Friendly and knowledgeable owner Kim makes this place. The dorms look lovely with the shutters open, but are a bit dungeon like when they are shut to keep the heat out. Social areas are just tables and chairs in a couple of rooms, but at least there are a couple to give you an option. En suite shower and loo off the dorms, but sinks only available in the communal area. Great atmosphere and a good location, short walk to the main sights in town.

Nice room. Air conditioning was a bit weak and wifi was spotty but the breakfast was great and included a different fresh fruit every day. They also tried to overcharge us for the room but corrected it once I showed them my booking receipt from hostelworld. Staff was helpful with giving directions and arranging tuktuks.

Good service with a good location - close to night market, but it is located in the main road, if you don't mind noise all day long you will be fine there. I had a bit of trouble to sleep one night, even though I sleep like a rock.
You can find cheap accommodation for the same sort of guesthouse

Lit très confort, chambre propre. Pas moyen d'obtenir un rabais si on utilise pas la climatisation. Petit déjeuner gratuit. Personnel bien plus sympa que la porte d'a côté malgré le fait que ce soit le même patron.
