Great service but Been waiting for 50 minutes for food but seem like order fondue will get faster and seem good and like signature here but do not order main course food and fried rice is not tasty !

Great setting right on the river bank. We crossed the river on a bamboo bridge to get here which is well lit at night. The restaurant very appealing the way it is designed with a variety of different seating options that are quite private. The food, drinks and service were all very good.

Good food, service can be REALLY slow, so don't eat here if you're in a rush! Their speciality is 'Lao fondu', a cross between make your own soup and grill your own meat. It's definitely the dish to get. They also do good cocktails, with happy hour running from 1pm to 7pm! And nice desserts. Overpriced by Southeast Asia standards, but Laos tends to be more expensive. Nice relaxed vibe with most tables requiring you to sit on cushions on the floor.

Really nice location right at the Nam Khan River( you cross a bamboo bridge to get there in the dry season). Tried the fondue and some Cocktails, both were awesome, will definitely come again!

The setting of this restaurant, at the end of the bamboo walkway bridge, is fantastic. A shady oasis linking traditional and modern with views over the river. The food was good too! Adventurous types might enjoy the traditional hot pot meal, cooked by yourself on a bucket of coals set into a hole in the table.

Setting:
Beautiful location with view on the river. All tables are on different niches set on different levels. To get there, we had to cross a nicely illuminated bamboo bridge (5.000 Kip pax).

Service:
The staff was very friendly and spoke very good English. Our orders were taken quickly, the food was served in the order the waiters explicitly asked us for, they kindly explained the different dishes. In the beginning we even got a wet lemongrass scented towel to clean our hands.

Food and Drinks:
We went during happy hour (2 for 1) and got some tasty cocktails. To eat we had the Platter 1 (different Lao starters) and the Lao Fondue, where they put a basket of coal into a hole in the table and a big bowl filled with soup on top, where you can dip your dishes in. Very similar to Chinese hot pot. The food was nicely presented, very fresh and the flavors where distinct from what we had tried in other places so far.

Price:
4 people. Each of us had 1 beer, 1 water, 1 cocktail. We shared the platter and 2 fondues (they are for 2 people). Ended up paying 100.000 Kip per person, which is a little bit more than the other restaurants we have been to so far, but seemed very reasonable for the high quality, great service and special place.

I would definitely recommend and come back.

Lovely setting beautiful view. There is designated areas for smoking.
Excepted better for the food. There were no western dishes for our kids to eat.
The Chicken curry had tiny bones.
The two crepes ordered had a top plate and a bottom plate. When we lifted off the top plate to roll out the crepe and butter the crepe with nutella we found it had four or five little ants crawling on the plate. Yuk.
We ordered happy hour banana daiquiri's which were average.

Excellent restaurant/bar. The location and the view is perfect. The path to reach it is also really nice: a bamboo bridge, so typical.
Highly recommended if you want to chill out in a quiet place in the shadow of the bamboos.

Mostly serves cook your own food. Lots of places to sit on different levels. Quite quirky. Would go back in a group and on a sunny day. Probably better on an evening. Prices very reasonable but don't expect western food.

Best restaurant for us so far in town! The menu is small but full of taste, we order the Lao fondue (buffalo) and it was amazing, highly recommended (more than enough for 2 people) the staff is really friendly and they’re always ready to help and take orders!
The not so good side of the coin was the mango sticky rice and the bill! The rice of the mango was one of the best that we tried so far but the portion is amazingly small, less than half of quarter of a mango! And we had to correct the bill 3 times to get the right order and prices!
Recommendations Lao fondue, dark beer made of rice, and the chocolate and banana crepes!

The restaurant is located outside the city center, but is easily accessible via the bamboo bridge across the river. The establishment has great seating areas, either private or on an open floor. The staff is young and very friendly. The menu offers various tastings of Laos food, great to try it out.

Our favourite restaurant across the river, they now built a bamboo bridge and collect 5000 kip to use it. This unique place is built on a slope on the river bank. Using bamboo and other natural material. Food is good and drink fairly cheap for a aplce like that. The are little huts scattered around to provide privacy. Chairs as well as seats with small mattresses provide relaxing seating arrangement. There are books and board games available.

While the ambience & atmosphere of the restaurant is quite well I felt they got it totally wrong but using aluminum pot for the bbq & steamboat..the surface is totally charred & the meat turn out to be blackish..they should use a better quality pot

Awesome place. Food is good. The boat service is a bit tricky. Looks like they are building a bridge. Price is OK. Dining at this restaurant is not disappointing. Bring repellent though.

You take a boat to get to the restaurant from the Mekong side of the river then walk up some wooden stairs to a beautiful restaurant overlooking the river. 5 stars for atmosphere and service from the waiters. 5 stars for the food. I had minced buffalo with mint and it comes with sticky rice. The sticky rice is different from any other i've tried before. They said they make it with "red sticky rice". I also had a mint daiquiriit was delicious and entirely different from other mint drinks.

Special experience. Wood-fire-heated Lao fondue (pork, chicken or buffalo) is the specialty to taste. Superbly located on the riverside, this restaurant offers very interesting food, a very nicely tasting brown rice beer (for only 14000!), smoothies and shakes, and a peaceful view on the river. They also provide games and cards if you want to enjoy! Warmly recommended! And the free transfer by local boat is amazing as well!

Interesting concept wrong setting in weather conditions. We ordered the fondue with chicken, after climbing the stairs and no air con, the burning hot coals placed in the middle of the table made it very uncomfortable for dinner (this was not described in the menu or by the waiter). So you cook the food yourself but spent most of the time trying to keep an array of insects out of the food.

Alright, so the view is very nice, open air seating, very comfortable. In 45 minutes, the staff never came to our table. We went to the bar to order. Most of the food was quite cold when it came out, and it took forever, so not sure what was up with this. The flavor was still pretty good. I'd give them 2* but the view was so nice, they get one more.

The foods were really delicious. Order Sindad pork and chicken. We went there during a happy hour , good cocktail buy 1 get 1. Staff were so kind. My grandmom really liked it.

You might not enjoy this if your heart is made of flint. Excellent & friendly service, delicious food, superb atmosphere and great views. One of my favorite dining experiences. Get a fondue (hot pot).
