Nice place for younger children. Fun slides and pools. Food not fantastic but ok - overpriced. Nice French guy was working there. He gave good tips about other places to go to. Also exchanged money for reasonable prices.
Great place . The staff is kind and competent . They propose some delicious food ( cooks froms Dyen sabai which is a great restaurant) . This is a super place to chill, go swimming or just have a drink. They have a great playlist which mix Lao music and western .
Here you can meet all kind of people and make great encounters.
If you want to have a good time in Luang prabang just come to Lapistoche !
Really nice swimming pool; I advice to come during the week and not the week-end (full of kids) to really appreciate ! I fully recommend !!
Can and will be one of the fascinating places to travelers who are looking for leisure time and trying to avoid crowds in other visitors' centers.
30k entrance (50k deposit that you get back). Nice, big pool! Plenty of chairs and tables but only a couple of sun beds though, so they might be occupied.
Nice place to cool down on a hot day. Good food not to expansive.
It is a very nice pool resort. If you go from friday to sunday there are a lot of kids. The drinks are good but ask them to poor more alcool they will do it because if you dont you will notice that they dont put a lot in it. The food is very expensive though.
Loved it kids did too
really nice relaxing place water is really warm which we only realised at the end as we spent half the day relaxing by the side, good atmosphere drinks are spot on and fairly priced deffo reccomend to other travellers who need a day to relax ,
Warning if you're a traveller. There are a lot of children here at the weekend!! Price is 30 thousand kip and then a 50 thousand kip deposit for a card number to order food / drink, 80 thousand in total. The cocktails are on a 2 for 1 offer between 12 and 7pm 40 thousand kip for 2. But they aren't worth getting, they taste watered down, they also come in plastic cups. For this reason we didn't order any food here. Would come here again just for the pool but not during the weekend.
Nice place to spend a hot day. Lots of people.
Cool place to hang around in a sunny day. Don't skip it!!
Great pool to go to and not exspensive to use.
Nice, good sized pools, clean, lots of places to sit and a decent selection of food and drink. The 2 for 1 cocktails are a good deal at happy hour. It can get very busy and loud with kids on weekends.
Great way to survive a day in the sun here!
Lots of kids here on a weekend FYI
Good way to kill some time & have a lazy day in the heat. A bit expenses, & can get pretty crowded, also a bit out of the way.
Nice place to go swimming on a hot day. Can get a little crowded though during the middle of the day. Lots of foreigners smoking.
La Pistoche has 2 personalities. By day it is a great family place with many local and expat families. By night is is more of a backpacker hangout.
For those who complain about local kids It caters to both locals and tourists. If you want to avoid locals, then consider staying in your home country instead of traveling. If you want solitude or tranquility then one of the expensive tourist hotels may suit better.
You pay a 50,000 kip deposit per group and 30,000 kip entrance fee. They give you a tag with a number which serves as a tab for ordering drinks and food. When you leave, they will take your number and either charge or refund any balance against your deposit. Don't lose your number No outside food/drink is allowed. There is a small fee for bike or motorbike parking.
There are 3 separate pools, with a small diving platform and inner tubes as well as kiddie slides. Water is very clean. It is much safer than many pools in Laos, but there are some sharp corners (not smoothly rounded like you would see in western pools). I bring my kids without worries, but if your kids are very impulsive and accident prone, watch them closely.
Food is very good. French fries are excellent if you like them crispy. Menu has Lao and Western items with prices similar to slightly higher than at most basic tourist places in town.
If you have kids, or don't mind a lot of activity, it is a great way to cool off, see Lao families at play, and enjoy some good food in a relaxed atmosphere.
