Great place to stay. Friendly American owner. One point down - he presents his coffee as "organic and fresh" but is not actually a drip coffee but instant, very acidy taste coffee. But the breakfast is excellent and delicious! Will come back for sure.

Lovely villa with large and nicely decorated rooms. The garden where breakfast is served is also beautifully done. Lovely breakfast, the basil egg omelette is awesome. The host greets you every morning and serves breakfast, and shares with you lots of stories. First class service.

The guesthouse is pleasant and clean. Breakfast is provided. It’s location is very strategic for morning wet market, which is probably 30 meters away and night market if you walk a little further.

Definitely worth considering. Andy is a great host, very helpful, and from North America so he speaks fluent English. The rooms are nice and well kept, the tour options are perfectly adequate, and laundry and beverages are available for a fair price charged to your room. Also the location could hardly be beat. The free breakfast is excellent!

Great 5 nights at Manichan Guesthouse. Andy, his family, and the staff are amazing! They made sure I was comfortable and had all the resources I needed to get around and enjoy Luang Prabang. I would definitely recommend staying here and will stay again if I ever return to LP.

Less than a minute walk to the morning market with tons of food and just a couple minutes walk to the night market and the he Mekong River. Very centrally located!

I had a private room with a double bed, fan, ac, and en suite. Room was clean but the wifi did reach the room. Which was fine, all I needed to do for wifi (though I had a SIM card) was open my door and go out into my the courtyard.

In a quiet side street close to the morning market and river rooms clean and comfortable owner helpful and accommodating good value for money breakfast was nice filling all day coffee was a bonus

It was a wonderful stay. Andy the Business owner was such a nice person that it felt like visiting a friend plus he gave us lot of good advice on which places to visit. The room was clean and he was aware of our arrival. The food was really good. the location is amazing you can simply walk to most of the places such as the Museum, Night Market, . If i go to Luang Prabang again I will definitely stay here.

I felt very welcome from the first moment I stepped into Manichan Guesthouse. This is NOT like staying in a hospitality business unit, it's like visiting friends or relatives. Andy and Venus are a lovely couple and together they make a tremendous team. Breakfast is uber good, don't miss it! Fresh fruit salad, homemade yoghurt and jams, fresh bread from the bakery, fresh orange juice, and your choice of an omelette, pancakes or Lao noodle soup. Venus is an excellent cook, so you really need to try her dinner dishes too. The fish steamed in banana leaves was very very good. The house is a beautiful colonial-era villa very near the night market and street food center "Food street".

Andi is a super friendly and helpful host. He gave us tips and arranged some stuff for us like transportation or the best places to eat. The location is perfect directly at the night and morning market.
We liked the backyard where it was very easy to get in contact with other travellers.
