Nice
This is the most beautiful place I have ever been to Quiet jungle atmosphere with a breathtaking view of the Nam Khan river and the mountains beyond. Elephants bathing in the river in the mornings. Extremely nice staff and great food. The bungalows themselves are extremely well designed and equipped. I could spend weeks sitting on my bungalow's terrace and just gaze at the scenery and listen to the sounds. I also booked their 8 hour hiking tour going once around the smaller mountain, which was one of the highlights of my Laos trip.
This was the nicest hotel on our travel. Beautiful rooms with very friendly staff. It gave yiu a feeling of having stepped back in time with great luxury. Highlight was being waken up by elephants in the morning and them having a bath. The kitchen could have a smaller menu but sometimes a bit fresher food. Alltogether a great experience. We would come back.
Ok
Beautiful jungle resort overlooking the Nam Khan river, the bungalows are spacious and designed in a colonial style, the restaurant has a nice outside area and offers a variety of Asian, Lao and Western dishes, try the coconut ice cream or Lao Lao whiskey. I rented a bike and it takes only 1 hour to reach Luang Prabang visiting the grave of Henri Mahout on the way, do not miss it.
