  We already knew the bungalows were quite far from town so this was not a problem for us and suited us well. It is in the mountains so prepare for it to be cold! We asked for an extra duvet which made it really cosy at night. The dinner and breakfast made by the owners wife was some of the best food we have had so far! I would definitely recommend walking to the local village which has a couple of hike trails which you can find on maps.me for you to explore straight from the door and the owner drove us to town in the morning. Would recommend staying here!

  We arrived at Chomdoy Bungalows on a hot day in the afternoon and it was a pleasure to drink a cold beer on the nice terrace of the bar / restaurant. In front of us the view at the green hills of the jungle, we felt being at a very peaceful place. My husband was invited to play football by some local people on the field they have just below the terrace. We had tasty vegetarian food and liked the bungalow very much. Just across the street the trekking paths start into the jungle, where you can do 1-day, 2-day or 3-day hikes. Len, the owner, can also help you if you want to do a guided hike. Great Lao experience!

  “Chomdoy is a great place to stay. It’s a warmful place, close to the nature, where we felt like home. The bungalows are great. The situation is perfect, close to the Nam Ha national park. We were able to book a lot of activities from there. They offer bus tickets, trek tours, canoeing… Local people use to come to the restaurant so we felt like real Laotians!”

  We arrive late at night and we got a warm welcome from the staff there. The view of the mountain when I woke up was breathtaking. I love this place. This is a place where you need to hit when you are planning to visit Luang Namtha. The restaurant produces a very tasty meal with the very chill atmosphere.

  I recommend this place! The bungalow is comfortable and situated in a peaceful environment. You can walk around in the mountains and appreciate beautiful rice fields landscapes. There is always a good ambiance at the restaurant in the evening, so you can share a drink with local people. And the food is really amazing.

  A really peacfull and quiet place.
  The landscape is amazing on the bungalow and on the restaurant.
