Read loads of bad reviews before staying so was concerned but it was fine for one night! Yes it’s basic but it has soap, bottled water, toilet roll, and fans! The owner cooked our lunch for the boat the next day too. Maybe it’s bad from the eyes of regular hotel goers but for two travellers staying in hostels it was fine!
Great value for money. Booked upon arrival, and paid 50,000 kip for double bed with private bathroom (hot water). Room was clean and comfortable. Able to eat breakfast there in the morning and order lunch to take on the boat. Easy walk to the pier, 300 m.
In der Dusche hat man sich entweder verbrannt oder Frostbeulen zugezogen, draußen stank es. Jedoch das Bett war sauber, wer keine hohen Ansprüche hat kann hier gut eine Nacht verweilen. Das Frühstück war okay.
Rock hard bed, rock hard pillows. Sink didn’t work. We did the slowboat and talked the guy down to 50,000 kip for two people/one double bed- which is great however he lied to us about what was included and had us order breakfast and lunch and sign in with everyone else who did a package and paid 100,000 each but told us we were getting the deal we agreed on. Then in the AM after we ate and everything demanded we give him more money. He said we agreed to it which we NEVER did. He was trying to be a trickster and back us in to a corner. He was devious and a liar and we do not appreciate being lied to. Just because we are tourists doesn’t mean you can take advantage of us. Don’t waste your time here - or if you do make sure you know exactly what you’re paying and what for. 50,000 for a room for two is good-they wanted 60,000 originally. He is a straight hustler. You shouldn’t be paying more than 10,000 kip per large beer and 5,000 kip per large water. We learned that too late but hopefully you will know now. The little shops on the walk down to the pier are where to buy your supplies. Good luck!
So the rooms are ok, not a lot to expect. But if you go for the slowboot and want to order food, do it somewhere else. You get the sandwitches for cheaper and you will propably end up with more than just a half slice of tomato and veggies on that huge bread.
I think Its one of the cheapest place. Double room with shared bathroom was 40.000 kip.
