Good, basic and affordable guesthouse (80,000 for a two person room). Everything was really fine, quite quiet place and nice sandwiches (10,000) in the morning. Free water as well. Don't get why people value this place so low, because I'm quite critical, but maybe I was lucky?

No hot water in any of the upstair room, owner says he will fix it but we never had hot water. Only reason we stay was due to the price of 60,000 Kip or ฿250 for twin bed. Just ok for a night of sleep in comparison to the other place here

When we got off the slow boat we were offered a room at this place by a nice woman. We followed her to the guesthouse, looked at a couple of rooms, and decided to check out a few more places to weigh our options. The owner (?), a man, seemed annoyed and we said we might be back, but wanted to look around. We got coffee at the bakery next door and then walked away to look at our other options. The owner of Dockhoun stalked us across town and asked why we didn't come back, then yelled that we were liars.

We've never experienced anything like this. I'm not sure how this tactic works for them, because harassment and stalking doesn't seem like the best way to attract guests.

Needless to say, I would definitely not recommend this place.

Avoid this place! Be careful female travelers! Psychological threat and attack! To start with, I couldn't sleep and have rest because the host was watching TV out loud just outside our window until 1 am, then he started knocking our door being drunk at 3 am, we couldn't understand what he was saying and on top of that he started using psychological violance on me pushing to have breakfast in the morning until my husband showed up. Avoid this place!!!

Worst hostel I stayed in during my 3 month trip in SE Asia. The most unfriendly host i've seen in my life. He tried to talk me into eating breakfast at his place which was more expensive than at the bakery next door and so we decided to eat there. so the next morning whem we returned from the bakery with some extra sandwiches (which were awesome) he completly lost it and started insulting me: f*** you, i hate you people f*** you. i tried to explain my choice and told him he was being too aggressive and went upstairs. immediately after that he more or less kicked our door in and with a swinging fist
    told us to leave immediately.

No hot water despite asking on check in if it worked. They tried to fix it but it was still cold. Got aggressive when asked for discount. Poor price/quality

Very expensive for what it is, like the rest of the town. No towels and no toilet paper.
Even though breakfast was included in our booking, they tried to charge us for it twice.

The rooms are OK and clean enough considering it is for only a night. It's not really cheap if you think what you get, but the price is ok when looking at the other places around. I payed 50k kip for a room with a fan in May 2016.
