Clean and affordable ensuite room, close to the pier. Good free breakfast. Coffee and tea available, reasonably priced.
Make sure you go down to the boat atleast 45-60 mins before departure to secure good seats on the slow boat.response / report this review -

The best place you'll want to stay after a long day on a boat!
The hotel is easy to reach on foot since it is meters away from the pier.
We did not book it in advance and decided to walk in and negotiate rates. Other travelers did the same and got way better deals than those who had booked in advance.
The rooms are nice and clean with comfy bed and sheets. The bathroom is spacious and the shower is the best one we found so far with strong hot water and it is not handheld!
We asked for a room in the second floor to avoid the noise on the street but actually it wasn't really necessary because it all goes quiet when the boats leave and tourists leave the restaurants when they close at 23.
I wish all guesthouses were like DP Guesthouse!response / report this review -

Excellent guesthouse. We really enjoyed our stay. The upstairs room was lovely, with a balcony and overlooked the river. We loved it.

Good overnight stop on the boat trip from Huay Xia to Luan Prabang. Good breakfast or. If you have difficulties starting in the morning, they pack it for you.

We stayed here to break up the journey with the slow boat to Luang Prabang. Location is very close with the dock. Room was very nice and very clean. It was almost like a mini hotel. Breakfast was big. Price for the room is reasonable.

Really nice place. We only stayed here for one night since we where traveling on the slow boat but it was a great experience. Clean room, spacious shower/toilet and great breakfast. The owner was super nice too!

Located pretty much centrally between the boat pier and the rest of the single street town we had a walk of 2 minutes up/down from the Slow boat.
Thanks to the anytime cancelation policy of the place we had the chance to check the local prices first, which resulted in paying only 150k KIP rather than 175k KIP on the booking platform.
Furthermore the owner didn't make a differ on site when it came to the choice of upper or lower level. All the same price if go directly to him rather than 90k KIP more online.
Breakfast was not available since the cook was on holiday. So don't book it There are plenty of cheap and scenic places around where you gonna have a wide range of food available.
The street in front of the hotel was unfortunately pretty loud and had more traffic than you would expect for a dead end. There was also a small construction side in front of the hotel, for a terrace or so, but since there is only one street and furthermore only a short chuck for the tourist you don't have much choice.
Overall a good place, clean bath, comfy bed and we would go here again.response / report this review -

Wonderful, friendly people. Great location with views from the balcony to the Mekong. Very pleasant rooms. Only negs are the internet was a bit flaky and there was some noise from revelers at night but both of these are largely out of the hoteliers control.

Great for an overnight stop with comfy beds, clean showers and good packed breakfast, before boarding boat to Huay Xai. Was part of a packaged tour, so can't complain much.

Just a pass through city from Houyxai to Luang Prabang. DP on main street is a great comfortabel place with nice clean rooms and good.food.
