Great location (right next to metro), good view from the room, nice room (especially the bathroom). I only docked because the elevator arrangement is somewhat annoying / slow. (have to go to the 24th floor and then take another elevator to your room).

Had breakfast. Nice buffet set up. Choice of two hot items from the live station (e.g. omelette and pancakes or eggs Benedict and waffles) Nice fruit selection and a few Korean options.

Staff could have been a little nicer. The room had left over garbage frim previous guest. I expected much higher standard for 5 stsr hotel.

It would have received five stars if a) the ratty carpet would be changed or removed. It's a floor walking hazard and looks much past its time. b) also lost one star for the sharp, painful corners of the bedframe that stick out and seem to catch your shin every once in a while. c) the couch in the suites can be smelly

What I love:
- the Nutella French toast or the normal eggy one with strawberries.
- Cornerstone Cucina. very homely Italian food. None of that Gangnam pretentious degustation or small portions. a bargain for Gangnam eating.
- Aesop products used in all rooms and suites
- the monthly Gangnam comfort cuisine in the lounge. very original and always quite tasty

update: the rooms have bedside USB and power charging and the Lounge has become a modern Korean tea house. Very chic and serves organic teas from Vancouver and exclusive Korean ones.

This is the best hotel in Seoul. Impeccable service. Location is amazing in addition to having a subway stop right at the entrance. You'll enjoy every visit here (I know I have over the years). Visit the gym and the pool, the Lobby lounge for amazing bingsu, the timber house for cocktails and cornerstone for yummy Italian as well as Korean fare.
