This is a wonderful place. You get everything you want. I love the ambience and the classic decors both inside and outside. They also have wonderful staff who are very kind and helpful. My favorite is the fine dining restaurant or the Crystal Room. it's so classic right from the furniture and chairs, down to their curtains and chandeliers.

Raffles Hotel Le Royal is a true 5-star hotel in service and facility. From the minute you walk in, you’re taken to a whole new luxurious experience. The décor is elegantly decorated. The room is spacious with ample outlets to connect laptops, phones, etc. Check-in is quick and easy. If you stay here and missed breakfast, shame on you. The breakfast buffet is delicious and offers plenty of variety.

This place is probably one of the most elegant places in Phnom Penh- good for vacation holidays to Cambodia. It has two swimming pools and you can order your food while you are the swimming pool. Of course, you don't eat in the water, on the benches.

It has a restaurant, and it has a buffet.

The hotel rooms are kind of big, and there free computers to use in the hallways on floors.

Very friendly staff, go out of way to be helpful. Picturesque interiors full of history and character. Visit to capture the charm of old Cambodian cosmopolitan sophistication in its heyday.

Pool courtyard is restful oasis in the city, tucked among trees and colonial architecture.

Delectable restaurant food, both Cambodian and French cuisine deftly executed. Souffles are best I've eaten outside Europe, must try!

One of the finest hotels in the world. They take care of every detail. It is a 1929 hotel used as journalists refuge during the 1975 war and refurbished during 90's. The elephant room, that is the bar downstairs, has an atmosphere that move you to a colonial movie instantly. The food awesome, cocktails more and price ok. They have happy hour (50% off) from 4 to 9 pm every day.

Great hotel, classical decor and good service.

Updated: Back again in late March, the romance of staying in such a hotel still remains but it's beginning to look old and dated. My room this time had flickering lights in the bathroom and the central air unit creates a constant and loud hum. Ceiling fan creaks.

This would not be an issue it it was not for the new Rosewood hotel opened around the corner which is unashamedly high end and modern but (for now) the same rates as the Raffles during soft opening.

Down graded from 5 to 3.5 stars.

A grand hotel very befitting of the Raffles brand. Slightly lacking in areas but overall experience is great especially the price points when you compare versus Raffles Singapore or Dubai. Book the spa early if you need a massage as limited. Breakfast choices are very limited for the value of USD28 per person. The Elephant Bar is good value 4pm till 9pm happy hour!

Not a good experience.

We wanted to have a nice cocktail in the hotel Elephant Bar as we had been walking the streets of the French Quarter for a few hours and wanted to reward our efforts.

Naturally the building is extremely pleasant and impeccably clean, tidy and polished..

Drinks are ridiculously overpriced compared to other high end establishments in the city and we are used to high prices coming from London. I'm sure they use only the finest ingredients but it there is margin here which just seems unnecessary.

My girlfriend and I went and sat at the bar and prior to ordering I used the restroom. On return my girlfriend had been completely ignored for the five minutes I had been away and only on my return was she given any attention. You may think this was because the staff were taking other orders but this wasn't the case.

We walked out which I haven't done in a very long time, a little dramatic you may think but who needs to pay this kind of money to the same product.

Food rated a “B-“; service was “C-“. Used buffet plates were not removed from table,
water was not refilled and when someone found to do so, water arrived in a hot glass.
Most prepared salad dishes were permeated by large cilantro leaves, a strong rather
than subtle flavor. An inquiry about soup ingredients went unanswered despite
a promise to find out for us. Used silverware was not replaced, etc., etc., etc. All in
all, it was a very disappointing dinner for what is supposed to be a highly related hotel.

I am not a guest of the hotel, but stronhly recommended by a travelling friend on a coach that I should at least visit its famous elephant bar with its happy hours from 4:00 - 9:00 pm offering half price drink and cocktail. (Watch for a happy hour logo at the left side of drink list). I deliberately choose a Monday evening to have a casual meal, a couple of drinks and a quite evening.

True to the words by mouth: elegant interior decor, old time atmosphere, very friendly & professional bar staff speaking excellent English. My ordered meal "Phat Thai" - Thai style seafood stir-fried noodle incrediblely wrapped in fried egg is perfectly cooked and beautifully presented with very generous portion.

Certainly a 10 out of 10 bar, at least to me.

They have an excellent brunch with unlimited Champagne, wine, craft beer and other drinks at weekends for US$78++. That works out at US$91.81. It runs from 12 noon to 2.30pm. All staff and management very friendly and helpful. As well as the buffet items, they will cook dishes to order right at your table.

My girlfriend and I stayed here recently and it was the most magical experience he had while traveling. It was nice to come back from an adventure and be greeted with cold cloths to cool our faces and fresh tasty drinks to re-hydrate. You can really tell that everyone who works at this hotel is trying to make it the best experience for all their guests. The local tuk tuk driver "Lucky" knew all the best spots to take us and made us feel safe in the city. I can't wait to go back.

everything! the heritage building, the staffs, the breakfast buffet, in-room dining service, the restaurant, the ambience. the most i like is the small terrace in front of my room. it's a good place for sitting & reading while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea

I used to train here as a waiter, when I was visiting Cambodia. The staffs are amazing and the working environment is great. I was not really looking for pay, but they did pay me 1 dollar per day as a trainee. As a guest, I would like to say the food is great and the service is amazing, but I have not stayed here. Overall I am really happy with what Raffles has to offer.

Just for the atmosphere, the Elephant Bar is a good place to linger over a drink. Happy Hour from 4pm makes it more affordable and quality is not compromised. A simple G&T is stunningly good.

Beautiful bar! The Singapore Slings are exactly the same as every other Raffles.fantastic. Dont miss the champagne glass with Jackie O's lipstick impression preserved in a glass case. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food is great.
