I give this shrine in the Royal Gardens Park a favourable review because this is a highly revered shrine for the Cambodian people. Unfortunately it is also a very good lesson in how desperate the lives of many Cambodian people still is. As in all such situations there are also those people who are there to take advantage of the situation.

Try to be open minded when visiting and to appreciate the complexity of human life for all of us.

It’s a shrine where you pray but what I see when I go there is people throwing smokes around, beggars pestering people to pay them(and they won’t leave even after you decline). Is this how a temple should be? I don’t believe in their religion but looking at the state it is in, I feel like they are not respecting what they believe in. In my tour, my tour guide brought me here and showed me like it was something they were proud of. No doubt, they are proud of their religion but what they were doing reflects the opposite. I don’t feel good saying this but I saw no respect.

Can't really appreciate the park while being approached every minute by people asking for money. Just wanted to see the fruits bats as there's nothing else to see anyway.

Local shrine. Both guys who look after shoes left at the entrance will try to get you to leave your shoes with them. And they'll strongly ask you to donate when you leave.

Some tourists come to get blessings from the monk. Do not give donations to the children and women claiming to collect money for baby's milk. They are part of a scam. Beware of pick pockets too.

Famous local shrine. Always busy with local going to pay respect and make wishes. Good place for tourist to do the same or just go to observe the tradition and take some nice photos as it sets in Royal Garden. Don't forget to also take picture of the giant bats hanging from trees above.
