Stunning view when eating at this restaurant. Service was rather slow and the waiting staff preferred to check their smartphone instead of taking care of their customers. Food was ok but nothing special. Portions are small.

Very nice hotel. Enjoyed a comfortable one night stay here. Stayed in one of the villas - bathroom was almost bigger than the entire room! Strange design, bathroom door is see through and the toilet is visible from the bedroom, which is located up a short flight of stairs. When we stayed, TV service was down due to monkeys having bitten the cables. Note: do not approach any of the monkeys on the property and definitely don't feed them. Not a big deal, as we arrived relatively late and left early. Excellent dinner at the restaurant, not cheap but very good food. Great buffet for breakfast in the morning. Nice beach.

We got the small villa for our stayed there. For the price that we paid I would expect a better room and level of Cleaness. The swimming pool (both of them) are pretty small and werent that clean (I saw a dead bug in the pool by the beach). In the morning there were many dead bee in front of our room.
I would give a 3 stars just because we enjoyed the surrounding environment.

Very good place for people who like nature. It is on the natural mountain and next to the sea.

The hotel is beautiful and the scenery is great. One of the best resorts we've stayed at a in Cambodia and yet the upkeep on the facility is sub-par. For a luxury resort the maintenance on air-cons and furniture in the houses could be much better.

Not much to do around here! Beach littered! Hotel too big, loads of stairs to get to pool, beach, room and restaurant! Europeans have to eat in a fly infested exposed food restaurant, max 2 night stay recommended - bed rock hard like sleeping on the floor! People don't speak or seam to understand English? Other parts of Cambodia much better than here, but if you like casinos or diving then this place is perfect 🤣

What an unbelievable hotel. The rooftop restaurant view is awesome. Food excellent. Phnom Penh is growing up rapidly. This wasn't there 5 years ago.

Service level is not up to the mark. Not very clean rooms. Breakfast quality is not good. First day, the milk in breakfast in the restaurant was already spoiled one which they changed later on after the complaint. Staff looked annoyed and tired. Not coming back This was my second time in this hotel and both the time experience was not good.

Very scenic resort with lots of trees and shrubbery. Some nice swimming pools including a new infinity edge pool - only downside is the nice pools tend to get very busy. Not the cheapest place for food and drinks also but this is to be expected. Not a great beach around here also when compared to say Otres.

Our experience at Independance hotel was great. The hotel is situated 10 minutes from the centre and has an entire beach on it's doorstep. The sea side pool is nice for a relaxing drink and swim. Our room was clean and situated a couple of minutes walk from the beach. The gym is equivalent to a full-size gym and is one of the best I have seen in a hotel. We had a couple of issues and the guest relations manager, Liubov, addressed them with a great outcome.

Disappointed experienced. Value for money is Ok but service was bad. Worst part is the outrageous overcharging for Boats, Airport pickups. AC can't cope with heat. The new facilities: Pool and Sea side restaurant are great and balance the rest of the hotel which needs a refresh and better trained staff. The beach is OK, still better to stay on the Islands.

Excellent service, staff, location. The infrastructure is brilliant. Sea view from most of the accommodations. The food is just about alright. Good spread of breakfast. Sunset restaurant has a brilliant view of the sea.

Stunning views and facilities, although the staff can be a little rude, still a great place to stay and enjoy lots of holiday activities.

I stayed in this hotel once with my SO. It was an okay experience. However I booked one more night for myself as she left first.

Problem one. Bugs in the room. Staff came to try and get rid of a lizard. He ran under the bed and could no longer be found

Problem 2. New room was even further away from my family who is staying in the main building.

Problem 3. The phone doesn't work so I can't call to report any new problems. I've had to walk back and forth and nothing was done to fix the phone.

Problem 4. No service for my phone. Couldn't even talk to my family unless I use the wifi.

Staff didn't care to help until I kept coming back requesting for help

My last night in this country was brought down by a 4 star hotel and I will not be returning.

I was really disappointed. . The hotel location was nice, quick walk to the beach and water..and overall the hotel itself was nice. I spent extra money to be in a Sea Breeze room, which is apart from the hotel, these are smaller private buildings just off the side of the hotel offering better views. This was nicehowever the room we were in was not that great. The main issue was the room next to us was being painted, the fumes from it when we ran the AC were being basically pumped into our room. We only stayed one night and changed to another hotel. When bringing this up to the staff it seemed they did not really see it as an issue which was unfortunate.. little if anything was done or offered.

The other issue we had is that they run a shuttle into town and pickup service at certain times. We waited at the Golden Lion meeting spot for 40 minutes, (we were waiting a bit early to be safe) but the bus never came. We called the hotel twice for updates, it ended up being 20 or 25 minutes late. The driver said his clock was wrong. We looked at the clock and it was running fast, not behind, which would mean he should of arrived early instead of late. When we got back to the hotel they apologized, but again we weren't buying their story about the time as we both saw it for ourselves. Again, nothing was offered or done in this regard.

I didn't hate the hotel. The location is nice. It seems they are trying to make improvements / renovations, which was another thing, outside my balcony there was construction being done which was being done early and lasted throughout the day. Wasn't expecting that and paint fumes for an upgraded cost and room

Beautiful grounds, well maintained, and spacious villas. Unfortunately, service is a bit gruff around the edges and with all the construction going on certain parts of the hotel (like the beautiful ocean walkway) were off limits. Still, beautiful and private beach and lovely pool.

The potential here is excellent. The location, the beach, the rooms, the staff, all offer great potential. But.

The restaurant often is short of the specialty food on the menu.

The pool was green five days running.

The grounds are marginally kept groomed.

Potential is great but until management steps up their commitment to high quality even the great staff is helpless to offer more than just average for a premium price.

For a premium price guests should expect better and get it.

Hope management gets with it before the place fades into the past.

Attempts s to discuss this with management have not been accepted.

A beautiful resort rested on a top hill hidden amongst the big trees. Clean pool with ocean view. Great white sand beach.
