I ate here and really enjoyed my meal. I ordered gnocchi and it was really well cooked, soft and fluffy. I found the portions to be quite small for the high prices, even by Siem Reap standards this was an expensive meal and probably similar to what I’d pay in London for a comparable meal. That being said if you are craving traditional Italian in Cambodia it’s great, and there is a wide range of options rather than just your standard tourist fare available at most Italian restaurants.

The pizza is alright and at a good price. We got a medium that definitely fed two people. Good atmosphere and friendly service. Give this place a try if you have a hankering for Italian in Cambodia, the pasta is very good.

Cozy place, you can find an actual Italian environment here. My favourite food at Il Forno is the pizza (I suggest that one with spicy salami), but pasta is also really good. The restaurant is on two floors, the ground floor without air conditioned and the upstairs floor with air conditioned. They also have a good selection of Italian wines, especially from Tuscany: Peppoli, Santa Cristina, Antinori are some wines you can drink here. Highly recommended.

We ordered the cheese platter with wine ,which was elaborate. The Cambodian staff spoke really good English and knew the names of all the cheese. The main course was a tasty and decent portion . Didn’t expect such an authentic place in the middle of the madness of pub street . Do try it . You won’t be disappointed.

Authentic Italian restaurant tucked away in a little alley! Everything that came past my table made me wish I had ordered it. I had the most delicious crispy thin crust pizza and the best gooey chocolate fondant.
Definitely a must try!!

food is good, service sucks. I went here twice. I ordered a bottle of wine each time. In most decent restaurants, when you order a bottle, the server pours for you. I had to pour my own $30usd bottle of wine myself. Usually when your food comes you get utensils and and plates. You have to flag down one of the 5 servers who aren't doing their job to get plates. I'd never thought I'd say this, but the service is better in Thailand.

YUM! I will say, after spending a week and a half eating all authentic southeast asian cuisine, this place was very well received! I have been to Italy 3 times, and this place is pretty close to the same delicious food I ate there! You can't go wrong here, everything looked delicious! And we actually broke one of our travel rules, we ate here TWICE while in Siem Reap because it was so tasty!

If you need a break from SE Asian cuisine, I'll Forno is a good choice. The service was good, but not overly friendly. Pizza was solid, very thin crust. Pasta Orecchiette special was just OK. Portion too small. Also, this is 2x pricier than Khmer food. Interesting bread sticks

Best steak in Siem Reap!

I wrote my first review for Il Forno about 6 months ago, but felt the need add some much needed information. In my first review I decided to skip the steak, because the fillet looked small and not very tender. So I had their excellent fresh pasta instead.

A few months ago I thought I’d give it a try and ordered the fillet steak. AndWOW, it is the best steak I’ve had in Siem Reap. It may be a bit small, but it is super tender, juicy and very tasty. Not a single piece of inedible fat or muscle tissue. It comes with very tasty roast potatoes. Even though you get a delicious pepper sauce and a mustard sauce, the steak does not need any. Instead I always ask for a double pepper sauce and use it for the potatoes.
Their steak is much better than all the ones I tried in the upscale French restaurants in Siem Reap.

Now I go there once a week for the super delicious Bruschetta’s and the Fillet Steak.

Went there twice it was that good. The bruschetta is really delicious and a must try, I just wish there was more of it. The pizza is good too and has comparable prices to most of the other restaurants nearby. We enjoyed our meals here

Gnocchi Al Porcini was honestly not only the best gnocchi I've ever had, but one of the best Italian dishes I've ever had (disclaimer: I'm by no means an Italian food critic). We also had pizza and penne that was excellent. Wi-Fi, and great English speaking service was a bonus 👍.

Four stars due to Cambodian standards on pizza and Italian food. It was nothing special, but better than any other I had. Service is good and fast and staff is really nice and speak good english. Even the medium pizza is a good size, so if you're not too hungry you can share. I ate one by myself anyways. :) Pizza prices range from 5.50 - 11

penne arrabbiata was bland. pasta was slightly undercooked and I like mine al dente. Aperol Spritz was equally disappointing. One of the Most expensive restaurants in town

Went based on a recommendation and it was okay. We ordered a pizza and the size (L) was perfect for two if you don't want to be stuffed. Taste was great. Our only concern was the quantity of toppings. We had one half margarita and the other half with spicy salame. The margarita had one piece of basil on 3 of 4 slices and the salame had one very small piece on each of its slices. Basically we received a cheese pizza for 50% higher cost.
I won't say to not go but if you like a topping filled pie then you might be disappointed.
I have no other places to compare Il Forno to so maybe this is the norm in town

Excellent Italian cuisine in town. Great service and friendly staff. Though the prices are a bit pricey, it is worth.
