  One of many good hotels in Battambang. It now has a new owner, and is called Hero Hotel. What sets it apart is the open, spacious design. It is easy to access with bicycle and wheelchair, and has fair with merry-go rounds just across the street - fun for the kids!
  
  Every room has a small fridge, aircon and hot water. For 10 USD single, 12 USD double, this is a good buy. It is located on the opposite side of the canal, so a little apart from the busy city centre. One has to walk some 500 m in order to do any meaningful shopping.
  
  This is my favourite hotel in Battambang, mainly because of the open design and low price. It is not the quietest of places, and gets rather lively during the evenings because of the popular fair outside!
