The room was excellent and very comfortable. Water wasn't always hot for showers though.
A typical 3 star in SE Asia. Polite and friendly service. Maybe not the best choice for most western travellers accustomed to the Hilton. If you spend little time in your room is more than adequate though. Firm beds, so perfect for us. Great modern style French cafe downstairs adjacent, roof top bar for nightlife. Directly on riverfront across from waterfront promenade. Close to bars of all kinds and night market.
Located at Riverside Phnom Penh. Nice clean and big rooms but no lift. A bit poor breakfast comparing to a mid priced hotel.
If you want to look back at the colonial age, the riverside rooms of this hotel are for you
Good view of the river great cocktails
Pros: Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are huge. Location is good if you like to be near a number of tourist attractions.
Cons: No elevator, 50 steps to our room on the second floor. No AC in lobby. Needed maintenance. No safe in our room, but one was installed when requested.
There was a plumbing leak in the wall of our bathroom that steadily worsened. At first there was water on the floor; then it progressed to water on our toilet seat. We requested a move which was honored. We were upgraded to a better room with a view of the water front, but moving all our things late at night was a hassle.
Overall, I felt it was overpriced and not well cared for by the owners. The staff tried as best they could to accommodate us, but they couldn't control the upkeep. Definitely not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. The first floor restaurant is not run by the hotel as it was in the past. The food is excellent, but expensive by Cambodian standards. The included breakfast is served on the 4th floor..nice view and reasonable quality. The roof deck restaurant is a lot of steps up and the stairwell is not air conditioned.
Its a long way to the top for a drink
Stayed here a few nights noticed that the cleaners do not understand how to clean and use the same rags for everything. I went out and got my own bleach spray and I definitely would not use their dishes and glasses. The place is massively outdated and is trying to have some sort of throwback in time effect.
**There is no lift and the steps are quite awkward. They are nice about portaging your luggage but they are too little and kind of throw it around whilst navigating the awkward stairwell.
-The restaurant on the rooftop is really nice but the lunch was bad; dinner was good.
-Staff's English is generally poor.
-Price is high given the above. It's a good $20-30/night hotel.
Huge clean, comfortable rooms with great Riverside views overlooking balcony. Friendly staff.
Good service
Very nice place. I love it cos they provide the taste of French food n even the service is good, the staffs so friendly.
Sleeping there many times. Always a good experience. Great breakfast on the Roof Top Terrace.
Also have IBIZA Lounge at the Roof Top. Great music and Food
Hate being conformist, but I cannot agree more with the rest of the people labeled this hotel as overrated. The only good thing is the location. The amenities are far from the standard required for 80 bucks/night.
