Excellent hospital and I wanna job in Your hospital. I have done bsc N since 2015 .and now m working in ck Birla hospital jaipur India. So what's can I do ?please
Great doctors, and great service. Me and my grannie have been flying out of Uganda to Nairobi hospital for some month now. And since we have been going here she's improved alot
Great Doctors. I delivered my second baby here. My only issue is the distance from labor to maternity ward. After delivery the baby is transfered through that distance including through common areas such as corridors to get to the nursery. In my opinion that is potential to exposure.
Offers a complete comprehensive solutions to most of your medical problems. They have a good list of qualified consultants that you can be available to attend to you.
Great accommodation.poor medical servicestoo many young doctors “medical officers” who aren’t as experienced 😭 poor customer service
Have always received the very best treatment here. Very qualified Doctor's and a great nursing community.
As a foreigner I was pleasantly surprised by the centralised approach at this facility. I could get all services from x-ray, laboratory, pharmacy all within the hospital. The nearby Doctor's Plaza was also quite helpful as I was able to consult specialists all within the same hospital complex.
Very welcoming environment, staff are professional & effective, the hospital has every medical amenity you would require & is top of the class in the medical field in Kenya.
Dr.M R Khan, Laparoscopy surgeon diagnosed me of gallstones without any pre diagnostic tests like ultrasound, or mri scans and hurriedly removed my good gallbladder. No stones were found. Independent gallbladder tissue test in India confirmed gallbladder was good did not warrant removal. He saw my health insurance got greedy. Careless doctor cannot be trusted.
The nursing care in Nairobi Hospital is very wanting. Please retrain your nurses on how to treat patients. The rooms are great, the doctors are OK. The food is substandard relative to their charges. NH has lost it's glory as one of the best hospitals.
From a students perspective: it's a good place to reinforce what you've learned if you learned medical laboratory science, medical microbiology to mention few. The staff were really helpful during my internship on January 2, 2014 to about February 2014. You could ask for more time there. The work was a lot but essential in the learning process. The Laboratories I visited had good Standard Operating Procedure. I recommend joining one of the laboratories.
You need to pay $1500 deposit for admission, and they do not cooperate in refunding what you are entitled to after everything is done. This means I'm waiting for more than a week now on this huge amount of money and still have no outlook on when or if I get it back. Would advice other hospitals who have equal quality but way better customer service and are far less commercial. Feels they are very much taking advantage of desperate people looking for help.
Staff offer nice Attention and gives great health care services
The best Hospital in Kenya with excellent service and friendly staff though its a bit expensive compared to the local hospitals
Got good and efficient service when I brought my son for surgery
Faster service than KNHat a cost. Been here several times and haven't seen improvements in parking management other than the usual traffic jam.
Awesome facilities and attendive staff. Nice clean place
They charge and charge a lot without any help.. Evthing is so slow there, even doctors
I will not recommande that hospital so far!!!
So far the hospital staff i have met on my inquiries have been quite helpful, but PR over the phone for some of them is wanting. Don't talk to someone if you are not in the mood to. Call someone else to pick the call for you or divert it somewhere else. Just talked to someone who was speaking as if they were being forced to. PR is important.
I would not recommend this hospital to anyone because of the following reasons.
First of all this is directed to the nurses. Before you decide to pursue a career in the healthcare field, please take a personality test. If you lack the compassionate trait then save all of us the attitude and choose a different profession.
Secondly, the doctors here are very slow to act and wait for a situation to exacerbate before making a very important life-saving decision.
Lastly, It is very sad at how patients in the general ward are treated as second class citizens. This was particularly infuriating to me especially since "my patient" was supposed to be in a private ward but because their "private wards were full" they had to put her in the general ward.
With that said, Nairobi Hospital Management kindly look into these issues.
