My mother was admitted to NSH for a minor surgery however the surgeons were faced with a more complex situation at the operating table.
The surgeons who operated on my mother Dr Hassan and Dr Abdirizak did an amazing job looking after my mother post OP as well, they took the time off their busy schedule to explain everything with great detail and continued to guide us to get my mother the best outcome for her health.

All the doctors who looked after my mother had impeccable bedside manners and were very approachable, not to forget the amazing nurses who cared for my mother, very polite and caring group of people even when they had to deal with panicked and sleep deprived relative they still showed compassion and understanding.

I would highly recommend this hospital for all your healthcare needs.

The worst experience of my life, my daughter just had a chest infection and was taken into ICU and heavily sedated to make her condition look worse. Her condition got worse as the doctors and nurses here didnt really know the drugs they were giving her her sugar levels had reached 3.2 and i noticed one of the nurses was going to give her a sugar tablet. When i saw the bill, it had about 6 doctors looking after my daughter a day , i questioned and was given no answer. Then I noticed my daughter was given antespsin a medicine used for ulcers, when no signs of ulcers indicated in her medical records, when questioning the doctor , Iwas told "well you see anybody who comes to ICU is stressed up that is why we give this medicine." my question was isnt anybodywho comes to the hospital already stressed up. Do you give all your patients the medicine then. The ICU department is like a fishmarket. The worst hospital, money making institution.I had to get my daughter out of this hospital, before her condition worsed. Please never go here, chances are your health may get detiorated more.Check your bills and also be very vigilant on medicines dispensed to your closed ones

One of the worst experience of our life, my wife to be her daughter got admitted into this hospital, there is one Doctor.. Dr Mashod one of the worst doctor i have ever. There was another DoctorDr Saltana (Lady Doctor) she used to sit on patients bed eat take away pizza and just sit there with her laptop and just let her team of nurses do all the, the man nurses were very hard working. there was another doctor.Dr Bewatt who came from Kenyatta Hospital he was one of the best doctor. This hospital is a money making hospital. This doctor so called Dr Mashod the whole of Nairobi new that there is a girl in ICU, even the shop down stairs when you enter the hospital new that our daughter is in ICH, THANKS TO DR MASHOD. This the worst money making hospital in Nairobi.
I am going to take this further report Dr Mashod and the hospital to the Kenyan Hospital Medication Team.
Also on facebook i be will write to our President Mr Uhuru Kenyatta about this experience we had, also as fellow Kenyan citizens i am very disappointed with the whole experience.
i hope people read the reviews and please say what experience you had so the Kenyan Government can do some thing to fix this.

The Hospital has a very poor service, when i came to this hospital last night i was told register again & pay 1k , having already registered before & paid 700sh.

When i asked , i was told patients must register once again whether you have done it before or not. They have lost all my medical history. Meaning i have to re do all the tests & check ups once again which is also very coastly.

I waited for more than 45mins for the cashier to come, as checks cannot be done in the lab or medication cannot be given before payment has been made.

On a separate occasion my mom had to suffer with a severe headache for almost an hour just because cashier was not present.

In an emergency someone can end up losing their life in this hospital, all the doctors & staff here are very relactant to do their jobs.

Also 8months ago my sister almost gave birth with not even one nurse present , the nurse showed up when the birth is already taking place. having paid for a private room & private care , she got charged for total of 5 nurses present.

Poor attitude of the staff at the reception..Left without treatment. The Hospital is very clean but staff attitude carries weight at the end of the day.
