  I can highly recommend Saruni Mara - it will beat your expectations! You might find it pricey but it's worth every dollar as you'll get a mix of safari and a unique insight into the Masai culture. That combination is hard to find anywhere else.
  
  I spent three days and two night at Saruni in May 2017 and the stay is on my top 3 list of experiences.
  
  A guide picked up my company and myself at the airstrip and it didn't even take a 10 meters drive before we were offered a beer :) The drive to Saruni took about 1h with frequent stops to see wildlife. It took us about 25 minutes before we saw a lioness and her cub.
  
  The lodge is beautifully located at the hills overlooking the savannah. You stay in your own house which is huge, clean and with all the amenities you would expect from a luxury hotel. The patio provided an amazing view of the hills and the Mara with animals literally around the corner (baboons, elephants, buffalos etc).
  
  The service level is very high with waiters taking care of you 24/7. You even have a night guard outside your house during night time in case you want to walk between the houses or to the common dining area or lounge.
  
  What really made my stay remarkable was the mix of the safari and the cultural experience interacting with the Masai guides. All staff are Masai and the general manager joined us for dinner every evening providing us with a unique insight into the Masai culture and history.
  
  Our safari guide was also Masai and did a wonderful job in showing us the Mara and it's wildlife. As he spent all days with us and was really open to share his life story we got another unique insight into the Masai contemporary culture.
  
  Saruni Mara offers multiple safaris such as a sun downer where you go up the hills and watch the sun set over the savannah with a glass of wine in your hands. You can also opt for an early morning drive when the animals are active.
  
  You can probably tell from my review that I had an amazing experience and I'm 100% sure that you will as well. Go Saruni Mara!
