Dark and dreary
A good hotel for it's price. It's located within the CBD thus convenient.
I stayed in this hotel for two nights, but it was a disappointment. the customer service is terrible. Visiting Kisumu, look for other accommodations.
Good
Simple enough for the price
we a group of 10 had a wonderful stay in this hotel.i have been in this hotel twice and there seems to be alot of improvement from the last time i was here.i mean the rooms have been rufurbished and look new,the wi-fi in the rooms was decent, the breakfast was owesome and offers variety both local and english breakfast is offered to include yams, sweet potatoes, cereals, fruits, sausages, cakes the list just goes on.not to forget this hotel has very good lake views from some of the rooms. They have also greatly improved on security as they have a valuables safe where you can register & deposit your valuables when you are out of the building and recieve them upon arrival.
Needs improvement in customer service
This hotel is a good value, but nothing fancy. I've stayed here twice and the beds have nets, the bathrooms are pretty clean, and it's not too noisy. I added a star for the breakfast - their breakfast is not bad at all! Chai/coffee, fruit, juice, weetabix, eggs, bread - it's a solid start to the day.
Don't stay at this hotel! Me and 11 others who were staying here were robbed by the hotel manager George. We were there for a month making a film and two days before we left they broke into our hotel rooms and stole all of our valuables. Computers, cameras, lenses, harddrives, ipads, tablets, you name it. Added up to about thirty five thousand dollars, all gone in the blink of an eye. Never once did I feel safe in this hotel and getting robbed just goes to show you how we weren't safe AT ALL. Worst hotel experience of my life. George the manager, Franny and loraine the receptionists, The security guard Charles, were ALL IN ON THIS MASSIVE HEIST. Please learn from our misfortune and don't trust any one at this establishment.
