Cowrie Shell has been around for years but still maintains a high level of cleanliness, service and friendliness. The kids love the pool, noted to be very clean. The Suli Suli restaurant (seperate management) serves some of the freshest sea food in Mombasa. Try the red snapper or tuna for lunch. And the beach is right there 10m away. Fun place.

Fair enough. The services are exceptional. However, a times the customer attendants seem to be overwhelmed and fail to serve as required. On arrival, the welcome is unmatched but the same fades away as you prolong your stay. There is need for the management to look into such matters.

Staying in 1 bed apartment- great view of ocean from 4th floor. 3 bed apartments directly face ocean. Own catering/driving to other facilities for meals recommended. Accommodation - five star. If lifts not working, be ready for a walk up & down the stairs.

The apartments themselves are just OK. The location is not the greatest as you must take a taxi anywhere you want to go. The beachfront is a bit more quiet than other areas in Mombassa. Food at the bar infront is pretty good for being one guy in the kitchen. I reccomend the curry with prawns.

Apartments with good standard very close to the beach. The restaurant is a bit slow but the food is good. The beach isn't the best I've seen but probably standard that is acceptable here around.

Wonderful reception. The apartments are right next to the beach with a lovely view, fresh ocean breeze. The Studio Apartments are superbly set up.

I enjoyed my stay, however most of the hotel was being renovated or repaired at the moment of visiting. I'm sure if I had visited during season everything would have been working and the restaurant would have been open. However it was still a very pleasant stay. And I would definitely visit again.

The manager of sule sule the bar/restaurant attached to these apartments is well known to be a rude angry aggressive guy who even though you a regular good custemor bannes you from the place for sending a dish back to the kitchen. Staff begged me to report it as it's well known. Shouting and yelling, threatening with police that i have to pay something i couldn't eat cause of allergies. Never ever experienced a manager this incompetent. I used to order every few days for 30$, tip everyone and be friendly. I was even willing to pay the order and take it away. But before i could talk he just shouts, yelles, complains about his high rent and throws me out in front of everyone If an order go's wrong he let the waitresses pay for it. He is exactly an example why tourism is down. As am not the only person experiencing this I hope the owners of these apartments take action

This is a beautiful property with Apartment style accommodation. With fully equipped kitchen you can choose to cook or dine in at their nice Suli Suli restaurant which offers delicious food.

I loved the views, the gym and the dolphin shaped pool.
