Quite a nice hostel for the price. One of the girls at the concierge was lovely and helped us book dinner at a fancy sushi restaurant. We had come with some options in mind, and when all of those were booked, she found another comparable one. The rooms themselves were small, and the bathroom was smaller, but how much do you really need when you're just sleeping?

Pros: very friendly and helpful staff. Had good suggestions for restaurants and things to do.

Cons: they put us in a room right next to the lobby and we could hear everything going on. I was not able to sleep because of the noise and uncomfortable beds. The rooms are very small and the beds and linens are not very clean. They do not give you towels, you have to rent them for a dollar. I wouldn't feel as bad about all the inconveniences had this been a cheap hotel, but It turned out to be a lot more expensive than the airbnb we rented for the first half of our trip. I suggest looking at other options or finding another area to stay in if ikebukuro hotels are too expensive for a comfortable stay. Japan's public transportation is so good it's really not a big deal to stay in a different area.

TLDR: Not a good value compared to other options.

Good location. Good but basic facilities. Clean. English speaking. Inexpensive sive. Have stayed here before and will do again.

A great alternative to big hotel chains. Rooms are small and bathrooms are about 2/3 the size of regular ones.
Close to the train station. Nearby Sunshine City.

Spent 10 nights here in a double room. Helpful, friendly and multilingual staff available. Clean rooms with good AC, great food at the cafe around the clock. We loved the soups at breakfast!

Great for tourists as almost all staff can speak English. Great place for younger travellers who like meeting people. Rooms are typically small, same as most cheaper accommodation in Tokyo, and best to bring your own pillow (or request extras). Bathrooms are clean and have bidet -toilets. The simple, free breakfasts are a good addition too

Low cost hotel, excellent choice for backpackers and people who don't want to spend much in the stay. Excellent service and kind staff.

This is a 3-star hotel, so I don't get why people aren't rating this place higher! The accommodation was fine, if not a little small for me (I'm tall). Apart from me being taller than what the rooms were built for, the hotel was quite lovely. The manager happened to find us walking on the road trying to find the hotel and walked us there (complete coincidence). The price was excellent and the breakfasts were adequate! Would definitely stay there again!

Good service (they speak English!). Although I wasn't traveling as a tourist, I think this would be a great place to stay if you need a reasonably cheap hotel in the heart of Tokyo!
Rooms are basic Japanese business hotel style but they're comfy. Overall I would stay again.
