Arrived late at night, way after check-in time and every thing was ready for me. The owner left the door open especially for me with a note at the reception, greeting me and informing me where is my room and bad. Besides that, sakura is the ultimate backpackers guest House. Extremely clean, perfect location with a great view- only 20 minutes walk from the train and bus stations,3 minutes walk from the closest convenient store and 7 minutes walk from Hida folk village. Oh and the beds are very comfortable. Book it! worth every Yen.

Great beds, very comfortable. Free tea in kitchen which is great. Very friendly front desk. Free parking very close by.

Mmm. Handy for Hida village but further from main town. Staff friendly but owner not much available and made little effort. Bit tired and run down but bearable. Kitchen area good for cooking.

Friendly hostel accommodation, we had a private room with shared toilet & shower facilities. It's 100yen to hire a towel. Well equipped communal kitchen. Very clean bathroom areas. Well run. Coin washer & dryer available. Also bike hire. A 15- 20 minutes walk down into main town area & a 10 minutes up hill walk to the Hida folk village. There is a bus from the train station last one leaves the bus station at 16.10 hours costs 200¥

One of the best hostels I've been to. Curtains on the bunks and separator walls between some bunks. Good heating and kitchen facilities. Free lockers. Good showers.

Beautiful and cheap for a hostel in this area. Relaxing location. You may need bus to reach the city - approx. 2km. There are shuttles in the morning. They rent bicycles at a cheap price.
