The location is good because the hotel is in the center of Kumamoto city(so very convenient to have meals and be shopping) and there is a bus station near there. Kumamoto castle is near there and we can see it from most rooms and the restaurant which is top of the hotel named tour de chateau. They have 3restaurants; Japanese(1st floor), Chinese(1st basement floor) and French(the top of it), and a bar. All of them are fantastic! I love this French restaurant. Here is the best French restaurant in Kumamoto, I think. We can have only dinners. We can have them from about 5,000〜6,000yen/1person. I highly recommend to reserve your seats. The Chinese restaurant is the most famous Chinese restaurant in Kumamoto, but it isn't so pricey when we have lunches. We can have lunches from about 1,700yen/1person. The service is good. Stuffs are polite and kind. They have parking. If we have meal, we can park 2hours for free. The rooms are fine! Very clean and good atmosphere. Maybe you can see Kumamoto castle from your room.

Very comfortable hotel (beds are not too hard!) with great view despite the construction being done on the castle. Parking is 900¥ per night.convenient location, walk everywhere.got the twin room to get a bigger room but you can't join the two beds! English newspaper on the door in the morning.all in all good value

Attended for a Lions Club function. Staff was polite, food was decent for the type of event, and I appreciate that smoking is restricted to areas outside of the event halls.
