A great Japanese Onsen hotel, the private outdoor onsen for 30mins is nicer than the hotel in Hakone (operated by same group) I visited.
Foods are nice and room price is worth.
Only one complaint, Yakult drinks at hotspring are gone in very early morning while other hotels in this group always has plenty of it couldn't get even oneresponse / report this review -

We enjoyed the rustic setting of this hotel. We highly recommend staying in the princess room. We suggest you make time to go to Kamikochi on the free hotel shuttle. Not all staff members were proficient in english. We also felt service was lacking compared to other Japanese hotel/ryokan.

My wife and I checked in this excellent hotel in early June 2014. The environment, the food, the hot tub and services are all excellent! The photos tell, and we hope to come again before long!

お風呂が大変良かったです。とくに共用露天風呂はとても広くて最高でした。貸切露天風呂も満足な広さで四人くらいはゆったり入れそう。お風呂の照明が暗いから人目を気にせず入れたのも良かった。
客室も綺麗です。
残念だったのは料理とサービス。安くないお宿なのに料理の質がイマイチ。飛騨牛は近くの屋台で食べた飛騨牛串焼きのほうがはるかに美味しかった。
そして混んでる日だったせいか、サービスが追い付かない感じでした。さばかれてるな～(汗)と感じた。
接客態度が悪いわけではない。しかし、はるばる来た旅館でさばかれてる感はやめて頂きたい。response / report this review -

Good service, nice onsen, food is amazing good, free milk, free ramen at night, so full!
Price in lobby is too expensive, go out left hand side with 10mins walk can save half of the money for the same sake. Haha.
But again, this is a really good and nice onsen hotel. Must try!response / report this review
