My two friends and I stayed here for one night and absolutely enjoyed it. Though we didn't use the public bath (as we personally had no time to), we very much enjoyed our room. It's a very traditional place, so you get futons instead of mattresses, which we didn't mind. We had a beautiful view of the river from our room, and we even kept the door to our room open during the night, as we visited in mid November and it was very cold outside, which helped us sleep better. The sounds of the water also helped us relax. The staff that we spoke with didn't speak the greatest English, but that wasn't really an issue for us. If you get the chance to, do stay here, as you won't regret it.

郡上八幡に郡上おどりのシーズンに、市外の方をご紹介すると大変喜ばれる旅館の一つ、昭和レトロの作りと、清流吉田川を一望できる景観は、地元のものでも、泊まって見たくなる趣です。値段もお手頃、女将さんや、料理のサービスも満足行くものと喜ばれました。

This place was fantastic! Beautiful Japanese facilities, including a spa. Exceptional breakfast. And they went above and beyond to help us out in getting to our next destination. Would whole heart-idly recommend it to anyone.
