The great advantage of the hotel is that it is opposite the front gate to Petra. We had a good quality room over-looking the entrance with parking on-site.

We stayed for two nights and booked the half board option for simplicity. The breakfast and dinner were both good, without being exceptional. Generally the public areas of the hotel were attractive, but the approach to the pool through the basement and the pool area, could do with some re-decoration. The roof-top bar/restaurant was a nice feature but again more could be made of this.

I would certainly stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting Petra.

Our experience at this hotel was brilliant! The staff were really kind and helpful and the common areas were stunning with beautiful tiles and fountains. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was really lovely and large and looked out onto the atrium. The pool was wonderful and perfectly heated, with clean and tasteful changing rooms. We ate dinner and lunch in the bar area and both were tasty and good value and the breakfast was fabulous, with loads of choice including a very nice omelet station.

Good hotel, but of Four Seasons quality. The rooms need a major update. The bathrooms need to be gutted. We did have black mold all over in our shower. Which the staff did their best to address. Food is pretty good, common areas are very nice. Was impressed with the courtyard. Staff very friendly and location is ideal. Best place to stay in Petra.

The location is excellent but so have other hotels near the Petra site.

we liked the public areas, the beautifully decorated bars. The pool was a disaster, approached from the basement past an ugly area of the hotel.

The rooms were comfortable but had no character.

Check-in at reception was exceptionally good and friendly.

Just not sure we had value for money when there is competition near by.

Wonderful hotel! Beautiful decor, professional staff, great food. We stayed here on our visit to Petra. It was great to come back to such a wonderful place after a day of hiking. The location is incredible too, right outside of entrance to Petra. Every detail was thought of including water and fresh fruit in the room. We wish we could have stayed longer. We had a buffet dinner and it was fantastic.

The bar service and food choices for a small snack were excellent. The buffet for both breakfast and dinner had good quality choices also. The free minibar was a nice touch.

The water pressure in the shower changes dramatically from very low to very strong as we shower. The air-conditioning didn't work very well and the room was never at the temperature set in the meter. the parking area is too small, making it difficult to park a medium to large size car.
Positive: The service and personnel are very polite and willing to help at anytime.

Very good and nice place to stay. Nice rooms if you have one that is on the outside, because you can open a window. Very nice lobby and nice bar/restaurant. Staff is friendly and helpful. Big advantage is that you are opposite of the entrance of Petra. Very comfortable. There is a secure parking in hotel parking. I would recommend this hotel. Prices are not very cheap, but worth it.

Welcome - 5/5
We had been travelling for almost a month and I was bound to make a booking mistake at one point! I accidentally booked in for the day before we arrived instead of the day we arrived. The front desk let me know about my error, but still honored our rate and did not double charge us for the mix up that I made! We were also given some hibiscus tea when we arrived, which was refreshing and welcome after a long drive.

The bed was comfortable and pillows were exactly what we needed for a good nights sleep

Cleanliness - 5/5
Everything in the room was nice and clean when we arrived and housekeeping did a great job making up the room

Hotel amenities - 5/5
The hotel had everything that we needed including breakfast, a restaurant and a nice room. The pool looks really nice, but we did not use it as the temperatures were not quite warm enough

Room amenities - 4/5
We were upgraded to a suite which was very large with a table, sitting room, bed, large closet and bathroom. The down side is that there is never a coffee pot in the room, always instant coffee (but at all 5 star hotels we stayed at in Jordan it was the same)

We had breakfast included in our rate and it is well worth it. Breakfast station to cook you up fresh eggs, lots of pastries, cheese, meat, and several other items

Noise level - 5/5
No issues being woken up by noise. Room seemed to be nice and quiet

Wifi - 5/5
Seemed to work everywhere in the hotel

English Language - 5/5
Every one spoke great English and were easy to converse with.

This is not a 5 star hotel, lucky to be 3 star. Dated, tacky decor. Water pressure issues. Check-in was efficient but very cold. Check out was good, person was nice.

Location is perfect. We even got an upgrade so it was much appreciated.

For a marketed 5 star hotel costing $350 US per night, the quality of the rooms and level of service were very disappointing. The hallways and rooms are in need of renovation, with holes in the curtains, dents in the tile floors, and crumbling molding. We awoke on the first morning to find ants all over our bathroom and on our bedroom floor. The GM of the hotel switched our room to a larger suite and offered a complimentary drink at the bar, which was nice but didn’t change how we felt about our experience. On top of that, service was slow and missed the mark. Took forever to get a pour of coffee over breakfast, calling twice to ask for bag pickup when no one showed after the first fifteen minutes, etc. Sure, the location is great, the lobby beautiful, and I’ve heard the roof is great in warmer weather. However, there are cleaner, lower priced options next door and you don’t have to be a guest to see the lobby. Save your money and disappointment by staying elsewhere in Petra.

Came here for lunch at the lobby area. We had the Arabic platter. The platter was very tasty and not over priced. Hotel itself looked chic and upscale and was super clean. The staff was very attentive. Over all the menu was fair priced, compare to the local resturants near the Petra entrance.

Superbly located hotel right next to the Petra ancient site entrance. Very nice communal areas and bedrooms are good. Reception staff extremely helpful and the breakfast buffet was superb. Omelettes, eggs and waffles made to order along with a hot and cold buffet selection.

The location is very good, just a short walk from the entrance of Petra which is very helpful if you intend to spend the day exploring the site. The rooms are quite average but comfortable and quiet. The facilities are good with a nice pool however it's not heated and it gets cold after summer. The restaurant is good with a nice choice of food. The only criticism is that the sheets had stains on them.

DON'T GO TO THE ICE CREAM PARLOR!!! We just went and were very disappointed. The service was terrible. We waited over 15 minutes for 2 bowls of ice cream! After the girl took our order she proceeded to serve others who came in to get drinks to go. She finally gave my wife her ice cream sundae (a last resort because they didn't have any Swiss Chocolate ice cream) that was to include meringues and strawberry sauce. When my wife asked for both the girl didn't even know what meringues were AND IT'S ON THEIR MENU! Then I waited 5 more minutes for my ice cream. So we CAN NOT recommend this place, to be avoided. Definitely not up to Mövenpick standards.

Wen't here for food twice, but didn't stay at the hotel itself. Food was excellent and decently priced. Staff was very friendly with us and made us feel welcome. Buffet has a decent selection and the taste is good.

This hotel is literally right across the smallest read that is in front of the entrance to Petra. I can't imagine why you'd want to stay anywhere else. The location is perfect. And the hotel was very nice.

We just spend one night. This was a much nicer Hotel than I thought we would find in this remote area of the world. Very glad that we found it.

We got our hotel Petra passes. If you're going to stay at Petra then you can get cheaper passes through your hotel. The locals would really love to have you spend some money in the community so the prices for Petra are cheaper getting them if you're staying overnight at a hotel. It was only about $5 more to get a second day. This was also really nice because we could be at the park entrance at 6 a.m. and get down to the first ruin, the treasury, before anybody else and get some great pictures.

The rooms were very nice and very well-kept. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant in the hotel each day and they were very good. Plenty of selection and high-quality. Some of the best food we had on our 12-day trip of Jordan and Israel.

There are a couple of small shops just around the corner that are fun to look at in the evening. You could eat there less expensively I'm certain but I would be a little bit cautious with your choices in Jordan in general. You can grab a drink or some souvenirs in the area pretty easily though.

You could put this hotel anywhere in the world and be quite happy with it. It's fairly remarkable to have a place with this decent in an area so obscure.

I would say it's the best hotel available in Petra, great location very close to the ruin of Petra, some shops around the area, spacious rooms, beautiful atrium, bar, restaurant and excellent food, the staff is very friendly.

8.29.17 - clean and well staffed hotel. Management takes customer care seriously. My favorite part about Movenpick is that they serve sardines, and it's good quality sardines. They are whole and taste nothing like fish.

The breakfast spread is very western with elements of Middle East spices. There's an omelet and waffle station, fresh bread and fruit, and strong coffee.

The resort is very clean and the rooms feel good and new. There are some rooms you can tell feel old or have been updated.

Best location in the city. Right across the street from the Petra visitor center (and the main attractions it leads to).

Beautiful interior and great facilities (including a decent swimming pool and one of the better hotel gyms I've come across).

The best hotel to visit Petra!
It's located at the entrance of Petra, which gives you the chance to be the 1st to enter Petra and enjoy Petra when the sun comes up on your own.
They may want to renovate the rooms in the next years, but I'm sure you'll enjoy the patio and swimming pool!

Amazing and luxurious place. Offers a great service, hospitality and atmosphere. The food and drinks are splendid. Located right in front of the Petra Visitors Centre and "gate to Petra". As well close to the Jett-bus station.

Our original hotel overbooked, but competed us at Movenpick, which was where I really wanted to stay. This hotel is first class with all the little extra touches you would expect. The food and service is excellent. There were lots of families. It is conveniently right across from the Petra Park.

I was looking forward to staying here after a three hour drive from Wadi Rum.

Its major selling point is that it is right at the gate to Petra, 300 meter walk to the visitors centre. So after walking around Petra (which can be up to 16k if you try and see it all in one day) this is a welcome site

That said unfortunately I did not feel this hotel was very good at all. To start they gave us the wrong room without an additional bed, this was eventually corrected but we then end up in a smoking room thankfully it did not smell of smoke. The point is that we did not even get an apology for the room mix up and it took them a long time to correct, not really what one expects from a 5 Star hotel.

The room itself was quite spacious and and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was large, had water pressure which was hot too so that was good. They also have free WiFi through out the hotel which is very good. The amenities in the room where limited, it a room for 3 but you once provide 2 cups, 1 teabag and 1 instant coffee. Again its just not the level of service that you expect from a 5 star hotel.

They have a bar and a restaurant on the ground floor as well as a rooftop bar (but this was closed during our stay) which where good and the service fast.

All in all this was not he best hotel although it did have some redeeming features.
