Amazing beach & hospitable staff. For “all inclusive” there should be longer meal times & snacks available in between. Come prepared with towels & wash cloths for a longer stay. WiFi didn’t work in the room. So if it rains, there is no entertainment.

Side note: beware of hustlers, they don’t let up unless you are VERY assertive

All in all, very relaxed stay.

Legends. simply legendary. I loved every moment. Your staff knows how to welcome and take care of your guests. Perfect location on 7-mile beach and the garden side rooms are a nice option for those seeking more peaceful surroundings.

Great beach. Basic hotel but good. Website is not accurate in regards to food and some features. Showers take FOREVER to warm up. Set meal times and no option for food or snacks in between is a bother.
Being able to shuttle to the sister resort is nice.
Even with that.i'll be back next year but i'll be better prepared.

Amazing beach and Michael was the highlight for us! He went over and beyond for us and anyone else as we observed him. Hotel owners need to give the main and dining buildings a good cleaning and maybe paint. Towels in the rooms were ugly stained and worn out! Maids need to learn how to make a bed, we remade them each day. No big deal. Food ok nothing special. Cake for dessert every single day, nothing else. Breakfast was the best meal with the greatest selection. I'd go back for the price we paid. Not a penny more though. I like that it was small and short walk to the amazing beach. Tips, bring Beach towels and stay on the beach side. They have rooms across the very busy road.

We stayed in room 505, the ac didn't work, the ceiling fan was one speed, very high and very loud. The room sits over the restaurant and once the dinner is over the music gets loud till 2 or 3 in the morning. The bed is a platform bed and very hard to sleep on. The food choice from the restaurant below was very limited. Had a 4 day weekend planned and left after one night.

Room was clean but in horrible condition, Oceanview but the chairs were so small and the balcony was so high you could only see the ocean by standing. We complained about the air conditioning and they responded quickly to only quit working again in the night no amenities what so ever and we were charged $12/day for a refrigerator that took 12 hours to cool and never got cold. The bed was very hard and the ceiling fan had 1 speed high that sounded like a freight train. After 1 night of no sleep we decided we were not going to get the rest and relaxation that we so wanted. So we left the next day.

Rude front desk staff. Wifi didn’t work for the entire of my week stay; even after I notified staff 3 different times. Rooms are pretty low quality; shower was either burning hot or freezing cold water. Good thing we had friendly neighbors and the cleaning ladies were extremely friendly! Loved Negril, will stay somewhere else next time!

We liked Legends very much. The staff was great, the beach and bar were perfect, and the rooms were clean and ours had been recently updated. There were plenty of food choices on the all-inclusive menu, and everything we ate was tasty and fresh. We stayed in one of the 'garden' rooms across the street, which I preferred to the beach side--the garden side is more private, there was security staff to help your cross the street at all hours, and there's a beautiful pool at the far end that was barely used (we only saw one other couple use it in eight days). Legends has a sister resort with a much different beach and vibe that you can visit. Make friends to share a cab and save money on excursions--we loved Mayfield Falls. Half a block from Legends is a mall with an ice cream shop (from the outside, it doesn't look very welcoming, but go inside and you'll be pleasantly surprised). Bring your own beach towel, DON'T drive anywhere in Jamaica (trust me on this one. taxis are cheap. hire one with an approved red license plate), and PLEASE purchase a big mug to refill your drinks and save the earth from all the plastic cups and straws you would have used.

I really liked the hotel. It's close to everything, it's clean, the beach is fantastic and everyone is super nice. I would stay here again. Just be careful of a creepy German cab driver who stalks the tourists. He's not a red tag cab and is very aggressive.

Great location and staff. Food is OK. Rooms need upgrades, hot water/pressure is iffy and for gawd's sake get more towels! It wouldn't take much to step things up to be a really nice place.

New management and now they charge $40 us to have someone come and visit you or even to stop by to say hi. This is something they just started a few weeks back I was told. And for $40 us the visitor don't get nothing not even water to drink. However the staff and the beach are still perfect. This was my 3rd time at this hotel but with the new changes this might be my last visit to this hotel 😔😔😔

I stayed here for 5 days. I loved the place.. Its not a fancy place, but very comfortable and welcoming. Shaney at the bar, the cook Jean, Donovan the gate guard, Michael the security guard, and even Leonard the maintenance man.. All wonderful people. Give respect, get respect!! I will miss all my Jamaican friends. Oh, and ask for Fabian Woodbine when in need of a taxi. He goes above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. Last, try the jerk chicken that is cooked by the street vendor in front of Legends. The best!!!!

Fine and clean rooms, but boring special. For me it was great. Because i only had to sleep there. Wake up early and enjoy Jamaica, maybe watch some BET or something else before going to bed, so I enjoyed it.

Stayed at this quaint hotel for eight days and loved it. It is not 5 star but is clean and low keyed which I like. I recommend the beach side rooms as they are closer to ocean. Staff was friendly, accommodating and even the owner picked us up at their other location and drove us back after a day out. It is conveniently located to a small shopping area, liquor store and snack store.

Listen man!! There are a lot of rude staff members in this place.. Even though there were a lot of good ones as well . The bar Manager she wears a blush shirt is the rudest of them all. There is a housekeeper also short and dark-skinned that is terrible as well. When we arrived the room smelled like Raid. Room was set up like a motel and we choose to look passed that. They wake up 7am everymorning to take the used towels which I found really ridiculous only for us to find our they take them so they can literally wash them and bring them back to us an hour later. You get one roll of toilet paper which can finish in an a day . You have to pay for a fridge which is 12 dollars a day . You don't have to opt in the all inclusive if u don't want which was a plus . I mean the place is just horrible it's really sad

Nice place with a private beach where the hustlers are kept away by security. Sister hotel of samsara cliff resort.
Try the red stripe sorel beer at the bar, it's great.

Good not expensive hotel at 9mile beach. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are big a little old and toilet may be renovated. Not much choise with food but this what is to eat - good. If you realize its not a 5 star resort but small 3* hotel It will be ok :-)

No complaints here. When I initially booked Legends on the Beach, I had no idea about the sister resort Samsara on the Cliffs. Feeling adventurous we rented a scooter and cruised up to Samsara every evening to catch those beautiful Jamaican sunsets. You can't beat the location of Legends, directly on 7 mile beach in Negril. This experience definitely changed the way I like to travel. It was a laid back and exciting vacation!

Small all-inclusive with friendly staff. The beach front was nice. Seems to have more sunshine than my resort. I ate off the menu as my friends who stayed there ate from a buffet. They spent many meals away though.

Just got back from a wonderful vacation, the housekeeping staff was friendly and easy to talk too.Rooms are dated but cleaned daily! The security was awesome and the dining staff all welcomed you with beautiful smiles. Excursions are pricey but overall we really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you Legends

This resort was perfect! It wasn't a big fancy pants place but for my husband and I that's not what we are all about. With a small place came a small staff who you got to know and appreciate. They all did great, everything was clean, and it was nice to see the owners around most days as wellto me that shows something. The two male bartenders were great and always smiling and willing to try whatever combinations your heart desired! The food was great not a huge selection and a bit repetitive but it was good so we didn't mind. Also had a chance to go to the sister resort which had stunning views and was a very romantic afternoon/evening. The restaurant staff was great and especially the host/manager. The pools need a bit of work and the tiles are a bit chipped so watch your toes but it's nothing dangerous or anything that will ruin your trip. I'm really unsure why they wouldn't fix it to be honest.
At first, I can't lie the streets of Negril were a bit overwhelming and but after a day or so we were cruising up and down the streets happily. Now the one "downside" to my experience was the hotel bar closed wayyyy to early. Now I rarely and I mean rarely drink and go out and dance etc but the hotel closes so early (I think 10) that you had no choice but to venture out if you wanted evening entertainment.which was an experience lol first of all the party doesn't even start til like 12:30-1am and I know I sound so hypocritical right now but by like 11 pm I'd love to be dancing somewhere and by 2am I'd love to be back asleep haha and I still think 10pm is too early to close even for lame-os like me haha also the hustlers are almost too much to enjoy the bar scene (we went to a cpl local places so not a typical resort club) but the experience was cool it's just different. I will be back to this resort and will go out again to the bars (just with a big afternoon nap!! Ha) I highly recommend staying here! All the photos on TripAdvisor and Google are accurate and really will show you what it looks like (I researched well before I booked).
    Be smart! Travel safe!

Legends beach hotel was exactly what we wanted and what we expected for the price. The room was clean and ready upon arrival, the beach was kept clean and absolutely beautiful and the location on the boulevard was excellent if you wanted to be able to walk around the town.

We didn't choose the all inclusive and I feel that was the right way to go given the local food was amazing and with renting a fridge we were able to bring what we wanted into the room.

We spent one day at SamSara, the sister hotel which is equally as beautiful. The shuttle runs once a day and if you want to leave earlier than the 10-4 pm route you will have to pay extra. This hotel is not located on the sandy part of the beach which makes it much more quiet and hassle free from vendors. The pool is great, you can swim and snorkel off the cliffs and the view is absolutely amazing. Keep in mind if you are not all inclusive you will pay a lot for drinks so bring your own.

The staff overall were very helpful and friendly. You could see that they were well aware of what was going on with the visitors and made many suggestions of places to eat and how to get around. I felt safe on the resort, free to leave clothing outside to dry although I did have a towel and pair of sandals go missing!

This isn't a resort that will blow your sox offif that is what you are looking for pay double the price and get it. This was my 4th time in Negril, overall the constant pressure by the locals to buy either drugs or goods was quite frustrating by the end of our vacation. There were times when walking the beach was more of a chore trying to turn people down than the relaxing and enjoyable experience I had helped. This isn't the issue of the hotel however, the staff there did discourage people from stopping if you were laying on the beach it was simply fair game once you walked away from the property.
