GO TO COUPLES SWEPT AWAY! I don't know how else to put it. If you don't go you'll never know what you're missing so no harm no foul. But I sincerely pity every human that has not had this experience. It is the greatest time of my life every year that I go which had been EVERY YEAR since the first time I went. I will continue to go every year until I die or lose my mind to old age. The only caveat is that you must take your spouse, lover, lifetime companion whomever you share a romantic love affair with. The experience will bring you closer. This is my highest recommendation I have ever posted. Do yourself, your relationship, and your significant other the greatest service you could ever do and go Seriously, if you're not making a reservation right now, I feel sorry for you.
By far THE BEST resort and country I've visited! The food is UNBELIEVABLE! The resort is impeccable super clean. Rooms are spotless and fresh. Service is top notch. You got the most beautiful beach in jamaica at this resort. No rocks or weeds just white sand and crystal waters. Staff is incredibly polite and helpful and it's super safe on the resort. I wish I could live there!
This is our 2nd time visiting Couples Swept Away! Everything you could possibly want in an all inclusive vacation. Great service, great restaurants, beautiful beaches!. The staff are so friendly and kind! Worth every penny!
Beautiful is one of the many words to describe this place. My boyfriend took me here for my 50th birthday present, he had been here 19 previous times.
While I was taken back by the endless beauty of it all, I was enchanted by the incredible beach and the kindest of people.
I thought that this was the best birthday present of my life, then he totally surprised me and ask me to marry him. I did say yes, and I must say that of all the places on this amazing Earth this was the most precious of places to be for this.
Thank you to the great staff, the new friends, and to Rick for being my life forever.
We will always come home
I've never been to a place that made me feel at ease so soon. All of the workers, from the groundskeepers to the managers were all very pleasant and took the time to remember you during your stay. The service was impeccable and I definitely saw why so many people make this a repeat spot for their vacation. I definitely will be joining that group. It was easily the best vacation I've ever been on and I can't wait to get back!!!
We for married here almost 5 years ago. We can barely wait to revisit. As a bride they made it so easy peasy I really enjoyed that style and everything was all included. The one thing we did off the resort was a one love bus tour that took you around to local bars. Everyone we were with agrees when we go back we definitely would do the tour again. It was a ton of fun.
we LOVED our honeymoon here. It exceeded all of our expectations. The staff members were incredible. The beach was beautiful. The water was extremely clear and the sand was very soft and not rocky at all. There are tons of activities to do.. in 10 days we never got bored. The food was great. The value for what we paid for was excellent. I am heartbroken that we had to leave. I can see why many of the people there that we spoke to had been over 10 times. I can’t wait to go back one day!
Couples Swept Away is amazing! My husband and I are here on our honeymoon. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with a beautiful beach, this is it! The staff is amazing, the food is fantastic, and there's always something to do. This is not the place to go if you're looking for a week-long beach party. Its much more laid back here. We also felt very safe on the beach. There are definitely people there trying to sell you stuff, but the guards watch very closely Ann's keep them moving along if you aren't interested. The guards also keep track of guests when you leave the property and when you return.
We've enjoyed the piano bar, all of the restaurants, room service, and of course the bars. Fantastic destination!
I love Couples Resorts. This resort is set along 3 mile beach on the west coast of Jamaica so you get to enjoy the lovely sunsets every night. All of the food is delicious I recommend eating at the Asian style restaurant one night since it is on the second floor of the main building so you get a nicer view of the resort. The resort setup is spread out across lots of smaller buildings with only a few rooms to each building, with lots of landscaping in between, one of the nicer little hideaways is a small creek running through the resort. One of the nights they had a bonfire on the beach with music so that was a really nice atmosphere. I try to return to a Couples every year.
Only downside is that since the beach is so large it is very public so you do have vendors walking along it all day, but they do stay on basically a path and don't come up to you directly
By far the best resort and country I've ever been to! The food is so phenomenal that I ate twice as much as I usually do! The drinks are perfect! (They aren't greedy with liquor at all). They even bring big bottles of rum to your room for free. The grounds of the resort are spotless! You can see the staff power washing the floors at least twice a day. There is not one cigarette butt or one leaf on the ground. Cleanest rooms and air conditioning is blasting when you arrive. The staff is super friendly and caring. My favorite was the lady on the catamaran cruise with short hair. I love her! She was so nice and made conversation with everyone always with a smile! The water is crystal blue with not one rock or grass. Cleanest beach and they have locals sing to you on the beach too! I honestly fell in love with this place. I highly recommend booking with this resort. Save money and go at least once. I'm definitely returning as soon as I can. Best time I've ever had! And all the guest were happy and relaxed. We met old and young couples and everyone said the same thing! I suggest exploring the local spots as well. The locals are super friendly and take you in as family. Out of all my vacations this one beats them all! If you're thinking of proposing or just wowing your loverbook dinner at the caves restaurant. It's a restaurant in the caves illuminated by 150 candles.
Amazing resort! Beautiful beach! Great food! Great service! It's a smaller, cozy, more personal resort which is what we love about it. The only negative comment I have is that part of the resort is across the street a lot of people never go over therebut, there's the gym, spa, a lap pool, sports bar, tennis court which I like to use and it sucks having to across a street with traffic to get to it. Small inconvenience though.
Very simplistic accommodations. Not a very lively resort. No parties or events often. Recommended for people 50+ . Good food. Awesome beach access.
We had a great time and would love to go back. Beautiful, clean, & well maintained resort. If you scuba dive, their dive operation is excellent as they do beginner & advanced dives every day. We were with a wedding party that many couples are repeat customers to CSA.
Just got back from our honeymoon. Resort was even better than we expected. Restaurants were amazing. Best beach I have ever seen. The staff was all nice and helpful. The room was great and the grounds give the impression you are in the jungle. It included a lot of activities free of charge. Many couples we talked to have come multiple times. Would definitely go back.
The perfect place for a getaway and to literally be swept off your feet! Friendly service, they go above and beyond! Dining choices for every style and environment that goes over the top to allow you to relax and enjoy!
Spent the week of September 20-27/17 at CSA. Don't read some of these reviews and let them persuade you from booking here. Honestly one of the best resorts I've been to in Jamaica. The beach is to die for, right on the famous 7 mile beach. Staff are excellent. Hotel is great with that authentic lost in the jungle feel. Food was good. See Elvis on the beach for anything and I mean anything you might need!! Also make sure you go to the beach hut store right attached to the resort, Indian Jamaican guy owns it , super friendly and good prices for gifts. Overall have fun this place is great!
The staff here is absolutely amazing. They are the kindest people I have ever met. The food was okay, more Americanized and not enough authentic Jamaican cuisine. But seriously the staff, rooms, and beach are amazing. My friend had a wedding here and it was very well planned by the staff. Turned out beautiful.
We have been to other couples resorts and were excited to return to Jamaica after 15 years.
- On our first night, we found out our room's safe keypad was almost completely pulled off of the safe , but went ahead to dinner naively thinking the room would not be disturbed. While at dinner, a turn down service was performed, and upon return I realized $60 was taken from my wallet. Nothing else was taken and were were exhausted after a long day of travelling so we decided to wait until morning to report the incident. The next morning the security officer repeatedly suggested that I "just misplaced it". We decided to file a formal incident report and after about an hour of back and forth, the manager was called to come look at the safe. He agreed it was not "looking good" and installed a new one right away while a security officer supervised. In order to file the report, our room had to be searched (with us watching) to make sure the money was not hidden somewhere!😣. We felt violated not once, but twice and had a hard time getting past that negative experience. We were not compensated, upgraded, or apologized to. After that we kept all valuables in the new safe and left the "do not disturb" sign up for all turn down service.
- I got a stomach bug on the second day and spent 24 hours in misery.
- This resort is on a PUBLIC beach, and we were approached repeatedly (every single day) by vendors to buy thingswhile trying to sun bathe or swim in the resort's area.
+ The wait staff, bar tenders, and water sports staff were phenomenal!!!
+ Water is clear, warm, clean, and beaches were breathtakingly beautiful.
+ The beach front verandah suites were right on the beach and very comfortable, relatively clean. But, our ceiling fan wobbled a lot!
We will not be back to this particular resort, but still remain a Couples fan as there are only happy and welcoming adults who want to relax and have a great time.
My wife and I had a great time here. The room had a beautiful view and the resort was very clean. The restaurants were all excellent! Feathers was our favorite. The Palms morning buffet was great! Cant wait to go back!
We just returned from an anniversary trip to Swept Away. We went to Sandals Negril for our honeymoon, and we were so excited to go back to Jamaica. Although I preferred Sandals, (I liked the food better at Sandals, and some of the staff treated us like we were an inconvienence at Swept Away) we were really enjoying our stay until we had money taken from our room and an apathetic desk clerk.
We ran into problems on our last night. I was naive and left my purse on the bed before we left for our dinner reservations at Feathers. I had checked how much money I had left in my purse before we headed out. (We planned to leave tips, and I wanted to see how much I had left in small bills) When we got back from dinner, I started packing and went to move the money in my purse to my wallet that was in the safe. I had $46 before we left, but when I opened my purse after dinner, there was only $3 left. My first thought was that I misplaced the money or my husband had moved it. Nope. It was gone. We then realized that turn down service had come while we were gone. We were shocked when we realized what must have happened. We used the safe for most of our money and important items, but never thought we'd need to really worry about things going missing from our room. We decided to address the issue in the morning when we were checking out at the front desk, and we quickly checked to see if anything else was missing from our room. (Luckily, my husband's phone that he left charging in the room was still there!)
The next morning, we told the lady at the front desk what happened. She asked us if we informed security, which we hadn't. We didn't know we were supposed to, and it had been late. We figured it would be handled when we checked out. She repeatedly told us that they "don't have a stealing problem." People just misplace their items and find them when the unpack at home. We informed her of the situation and how we were sure the money went missing while we were at dinner. She didn't even pretend to be concerned. She did ask us several times if we wanted her to get security for us, but by that time it was close to when our shuttle was supposed to pick us up, and we didn't want to fight with it since she obviously didn't care or didn't believe us.
We NEVER expected to get our money back. We just wanted a note to be made in case things went missing under the same person's watch in the future. I felt like the front desk lady either thought we were lying or just didn't care, but it definitely took away from our overall experience.
I would have rated the resort a 4 (water sports, bar, activity, and most wait staff were AMAZING; food was pretty good; entertainment was fun; beach was beautiful; rooms were clean), but the theft and our treatment as a result overshadowed the fun we had.
Next time, we're going back to Sandals.
This place is amazing! It's beautiful, classy, and fun. It's not cheesy like some resorts or cruises, it's very upscale, but there's plenty of activities and watersports to keep you entertained. The staff are super friendly and everything is well maintained. You can re-stock your mini bar free each night, and they bring you full size bottles of wine and liquor. They aren't stingy with anything and the service is quick. Sign up to scuba dive, it's incredible. All the amenities are full scale, their gym here is bigger than the one I go to at home, there's way more machines. If you want an all inclusive resort, choose Couples.
Been the CSW 8 times with my wofe over 15 years Always a perfect and amazing experience.
Beaches are beautiful. Rooms are in need of a serious remodel. Dirty curtains, old dirty refrigerator with food left from prior guest, no cover on bathroom light fixture, safe filthy dirty. Room service is for breakfast only. If all you desire is a beautiful beach, this resort will work.
My husband and I went to Swept Away in Negril for our honeymoon in August 2015. We were welcomed with Red Stripe beer at the airport in a special lounge and lavender towels and champagne at the resort. The amenities were wonderful- wind surfing, beach yoga, tennis, catamaran cruises, basketball, 24/7 dining options, pools, a full schedule of activities, etc. We are an active couple and we couldn't find the time in our week long stay to take advantage of all the included events. There is no need to leave the resort. The food was great everywhere, but our favorite spot was the sushi restaurant, Lemongrass. We look forward to when we can get back to Jamaica and spend another week there. Make sure to try a Bob Marley shot!
We were recently at an event in Florida and heard the steel drums. They brought us right back to our time here. We soon learned the band playing was the same band who showcases weekly at Couples Swept Away, the SIlver Birds! They are a must-see!
This resort is great for beach lovers. Great view and little to no peddling. My wife and I enjoyed the food as well but found that the wait staff was rather stiff and lacked energy. For you connected people the wifi connection is great but lacks the internet bandwidth available during peak hours. Despite these deficiencies we plan on returning in the future.
I have no complaints about this resort. This was my 1st time visiting. The driver from the shuttle bus gives us the history of Jamaica as we were driving through the parishes to the resort. The employees that I encountered & interact with in activities were warm & friendly. The food was delicious 'off the chain' . The rooms were quaint nothing fancy just a down home effect to it. I like the way that the beach was raked daily and that the grounds were maintain. The glass bottom boat handled by Julian & Kevon was fun and they are quite hilarious and the catamaran boat ride was just awesome. Yes,I will visit this place again.
