Once we arrived at the Resort I couldn't believe how beautiful it was , absolutely stunning. The check-in process flowed smoothly and we were served drinks right in the Lobby upon arrival. I must say that everything was top notch with their staff and service. I will definitely be returning to Jamaica and Hotel Riu real soon.

I would have made it a 5 star review but I didn’t like the wedding planner that my friends were using.

The entertainment team was incredible. The energy they all had was astounding and they delivered a great time for all of what they did.

The dining staff and the bartenders were all also incredible. With all the people that were there, they remembered our faces and were nothing but friendly.

The place was clean and well kept up. The maintenance people were great and hard working.

If I had any suggestions on improvements I would suggest more family oriented activities for families that go, because the Riu Montego Bay is the family resort. We didn’t bring our 7 year old but I think he’d be bored unless we’d be willing to do excursions. Also some of the people in charge of the party boats were too pushy.

As I said my only complaints were dealing with the people for the wedding of our friends. I would stay there again in a heart beat.

Our stay was nice. Rooms are nice and clean. Hotel sits in the middle of the family resort RIU Montego Bay and the adult only Riu Reggae. The palace is a bit quieter and smaller. Most of the rooms may not have the best views. If price is a factor then it is a good value for your money.

Was their for a week to attend a family wedding. I personally loved it. Would definitely go back again. Loved the variety of food for breakfast lunch and dinner. The pool was relaxing. The Staff was very friendly and accommodating. "Chop Chop" serves the best jerk chicken on the beach.

We only had one little problem with the room safe, but maintenance came right away to fix it. Like I said before, I would definitely go again.

Service was outstanding. Staff were beyond friendly and helpful. Food was great.

Tip- don’t get the lowest floor because it rained heavily one night and the entire ground floor was ruined. Even inside the rooms. They had to bring in so many people to clean the entire area. Luckily we had the top floor and were dry. But that’s nature so i can’t blame the hotel.

The beach is stunning, the pool is beautiful and clean. The food is good and the service is friendly, warm and welcoming. The people who work there made staying at this hotel worth every penny. The entertainment was different every night and the music and dancing were everything that I hoped Jamaica would be. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because the rooms are very dated. We spent most of our vacation on the beach or on excursions so it wasn’t that big of a deal but the floor would have been more comfortable than the bed was. Overall the experience was great and we will go back!

The staff here is phenomenal, very friendly and positive. The beach when I was here was not great but this was shortly after the floods so I can't say for sure. Food is amazing. Relatively small resort, so it's quick to get around. The only real drawback is it is too close to the airport and you hear the planes flying over. It gets loud.

The pool size is epic, I lost sight of my daughter and fell into a panic. This happened right after I got out of a fantastic workout in the cool comfy gym. The food was abundant! We ate around the clock. The entertainment was great, it was a super production of the " Lion King". Only issue was our room was way to the back of the property which made it a long walk in addition to a trek of a few flights of stairs. So, you know we stayed away from the room most of the day. We dined at a different restaurant each night, played some tennis, swam from the pool to the beach. It was fantastic overall.

We loved the stay. Most of the people provide outstanding service. The room was very nice, just needed some details worked on, but no biggie. The resorts food selection was awesome. We ate in the international buffet every night it was so good. I really enjoyed the private tours. Ask for Milton if you take a private trip from Riu. He was the best! He was very personable, got us hook ups at the attractions and made us feel at home. Overall, I can't wait to go back and am inclined to use Riu Again.

Beautifully maintained grounds and buildings. Need more indoor activities.. Especially during rainy season. A room with Two small $2 coin operated pool tables and some coin gambling machines doesn't cut it. The after 10pm food choices are Jon existent for an all inclusive place. Only cold ham sandwiches, left over hot dogs and hamburgers are left in a fridge with empty condiment containers that never got replenished the week i was there.

Staff and coordination from and to airport was great. Staff are all friendly and polite. The resort has several amenities and activities for you to do. The beach is private so you don't have to worry about beach vendors and sellers. Variety of food is pretty good. Would have liked more authentic Jamaican dishes otherwise everything was great.

I visited this resort earlier this month. This was my first time visiting Jamaica and I was expecting so much more. This trip was for a 16 yr old birthday party. There was a group of about 25 of us. When this was booked we were told there was amble entertainment for teens as this was one of the reasons why we chose this resort. Absolutely not. You had your choice of water sports during the day, but after 6, there was nothing for them to do. The adult entertainment was lackluster at best. I along with other patrons were falling asleep. I felt like I was watching a talent show. The food was ok at best. The best part was the free drinks and the staff was extremely nice. Just say I will be returning to Jamaica, but ABSOLUTELY not staying here!!!!!

Very relaxing and there were much entertainment. It was not really necessary to go anywhere out of the hotel to really enjoy myself. However the food was too salty on most of the few days that i was there. The fruits had flies and other insects on them which was a massive turnoff. I was expecting it to be much better

Great staff. Food is good ad there's something to satisfy everyone. Spa staff is excellent. The entertainment is top class and indeed the best thing about the hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean but need upgrading. They need to replace those tube television sets with modern flat screens
And as for those shower curtains all I can say is yuck!

I had a blast at this resort! All inclusive for a week , food was good and the drinks. It was a younger crowd hat stayed at this resort , for an older crowd I would definitely recommend the adult only Riu which was just the next hotel over. Always had events going on during the day and night the staff was always working hard to get everyone to participate and have a good time. The only thing I would say to people staying all inclusive is not to waste your time waiting for a reservation at the restaurants, because it is mostly buffet anyway and a few choices on the actual menu. As well wake up early to trade your towel ! Or just hang on to one for a few days. Afternoon and onward I always found they were completely out of clean towels.

The Riu was absolutely beautiful. They must hire The Best of the Best because the staff was awesome. Everyone greeted you with a smile and a pleasant disposition. The service was wonderful, the restaurants were awesome and the food & selections on the buffet were absolutely delicious.
If there was a problem with anything it was handled immediately and graciously. The Riu was so clean and spotless that I felt as if I was entitled, like a movie star.

Great all inclusive options. Delicious food!!! Amazing beach bbq items. Water sports readily available (although some of the staff could have been friendlier over by the sign up area). Close to the airport and the shopping area.
My only complaint would be there isn't enough night time entertainment and activities.

Great resort with Jamaica vibe. Really enjoy the pool and beach area. Wide food and drinks selection. Friendly service. Only some of the evening shows are not all that spectacular, but with a few drinks in it is Alright. Rooms are nice and comfy wide bed and large bathroom.

We had a party of 5, we stayed 7 days for my Birthday, I was pleased with everything from Check in to Check out, everyone was very friendly. The Entertainment crew was Excellent, I totally enjoyed them all and they made a lasting impression on all of us.
I received a Fruit Platter for my Birthday, from the front desk, the waitresses gave me a birthday song, clap at dinner time, the breakfast waiter was on point. I really enjoyed my Birthday Stay there, and plan to stay again.
a couple of my family members said the beds were uncomfortable, that was the only thing.

If you're a younger soul into drinking and having a good time on a resort I highly recommend this place. If you hate drinking, pools, and the beach go elsewhere. I am here in January. It's very close to the airport which is great because for an American watching people drive fast in right hand drive cars is probably one of the most stressful things the island has to offer. Things here are on a timed schedule so there's always something to do. That said not all food is open at all times. There are tons of cool and interesting people at this resort as well. My advice is to talk to everyone and tip respectfully. The ATM on the resort can be spotty and only does twenties (USD) which is not ideal for tippers or people who like adult entertainment. Almost anything can be bought on the beaches; I bought many carvings and souvenirs. I could go on and on. Definitely check out the Wednesday night beach party if you can. I'll update this post and photos as my vacation progresses.
