Great service, lovey staff and amazing food. The soups are so good and the noodle dishes are perfection! Perfect place to eat in Florence! The menu is on the wall as mentioned in Italian but there are small English translations written below. The staff speaks English and is very helpful!
Quick and excellent service. Food changes daily and menu is on the wall. Shared seating is a must, and great to know locals and other travellers. Menu has great diversity and everything is recommended. Had the house wine and finished with 'vino santo' as a digestive. Highly recommended.
Best steak in Florence? Really? Our bisteca florentina was flavorful but the meat did not seem to be of great quality - it required a ton of chewing. It seemed like a lot of people had to wait a long time to be seated. Be prepared to share a table.
We loved everything about this place - fantastic lunch, great staff, honest prices and splendid wine. We sat in the wine cellar as lunchtime crowd overflowing in the street level area.
They cook fresh and when it's gone it's gone.
If you want an authentic Italian meal, look no further.
Marvellous.
This place is Classic Italian restaurant. Food is great ordered pasta with tomato sauce. The menu changes daily, it family run and they get there early in the morning to prep and shop for the menu of the day. Just be aware you don't get your own table. You will sit with strangers if you and your party can't fill up a table. But hey it make the experience better! It's a must to eat here. Also be aware it get crowded and can get a little warm inside. But the food is amazing!!!!
Amazing food (bistecca alla Fiorentina), very friendly staff, super crowded in a good way.
Highly highly recommended!
The best place I ate in florence for Lunch
So landed first place I decided to check out located in San Lorenzo. It was very old looking inside and the seats were small and you sat next to other people having their meals, Everything is written in Italian and they speak very little English but
None of that mattered the food was heavenly I asked the waitress to give us your 3 most recommended dishes which were in order ravoli in meat sauce the flavours were so good, beef stew never had one like this where you could really taste the wine it was very morish and. The Tuscan soup best soup I have ever had it was so different to everything I ever had before, all this plus some mineral water cost us 24 euros for 2 people. I would happily come again. Also do Florentine steaks here. Go for lunch open till about 3.30 not, open in the, evening as far as far as I am aware
Cosy, welcoming and just loud enough. My favourite local place for lunch in Florence.
Very busy at lunchtime, expect to be squeezed in wherever there is space.
Food is fantastic especially the steaks. Make sure your hungry if getting the t bone!
The world famous Mario's certainly lived up to it's reputation. Authentic Tuscan food at a very good price. It looked packed when I walked in and I expected a wait but the waiter took me to a seemingly full table, told three Japanese ladies to shift up and a spare seat appeared. I ended up sharing my beef stew with the ladies and they shared their enormous rib eye steak with me. The beef stew was excellent and very good value for 14 euros including 2 beers and a large chunk of bread. Mario's is a must not miss place
